Helps that the West Wing is so ultra Left-wing

    I love it.

If anyone's not watching because of it's political leanings, then they're missing the point. While I personally agree with the administration's politics, I don't like the show because of it. I love the show because it's how all politicians should be, left, right, or middle.

I have a pretty conservative friend who greatly enjoys the show, it's her favorite actually.

I tried watching it the other week when they had that thing about the nuclear explosion in Russia. They advertised the hell out of it like it was going to be great or something. But, as usual, they showed only the tense scenes. That was the slowest hour of television I ever had to witness. I just thought it was terrible... I didn't buy into any of it. I also don't buy into Martin Sheen as the president. He is one of my favorite actors, too. But, his presidential mannerisms just aren't there in my opinion. Maybe they need to add an intern under the desk or something...I dunno [IMG]?

I think they need to scrap the whole show. The idea has potential but I do not think for one minute Martin Sheen is acting like a president....maybe the president of the set.

These are just my opinions. Surf

Surfguy, luckily about 30 million Americans disagree every week!

It's great. Like any show, some episodes are better than others. The nuclear thing was not one of the best. Try watching some other episodes -- you'll get into it.

I've really been impressed with the acting of Rob Lowe and the lady that plays C.J.

Speaking of interns -- what happened to the first lady? She was "out of town" for a few episodes, and now they don't even talk about her.

Just to let y'all know, my favorite character is Ainsley Hayes, the conservative in the counsel's office.

It doesn't hurt that she's stunning and has a drawl that drives me nuts!

The show definitely has a liberal agenda, but is one of the few shows on TV I watch. It can get annoying at times, but I still like it.

I really enjoy the show. Plus it's back-to-back with Law & Order so I can easily kill a Wedsnesday evening if I'm so inclined.

The only downside is that I could do without the message that it often gives. You know, "vouchers are bad", or this week, "flag burning amendment is stupid". Even though I often agree with their politics, I'm not sure that the audience needs to be hit over the head with a moral every week.

I've heard it's a great show, but (and I realize I'm proving my true geekiness here) it's on at the same time as Star Trek Voyager.

This is Voyager's last season and I'll be damned if I miss those poor slobs finally making it back to the Alpha quadrant! [IMG]

i watch "Felicity" and tape "Voyager" or I watch the late Sunday night repeat.

I've never seen "The West Wing". After seeing the film "The Contender" I don't think I want to.
