so now head will take wesley's place. what happened to head's 50%+ 3 point shooting? he looked so promising from beyond the arc. :(

I think he's very slowly getting it back. We have to watch and see. Last afternoon was encouraging.

Wesley has looked absolutely miserable out there lately. I'm not trying to unfairly get down on the guy because he can still contribute and do plenty of positive things, but he's struggling and injured.

We have other guards on the roster capable of stepping in. Let him rest up so he can come back healthy and in the meantime we can see a new look in the lineup it. It's not necessarily a bad thing.

Such as? As Head will probably start then we would need to play even more Bowen. BAD NEWS.

I've got to give it up for Brunson, he's looked a lot better out there than I thought he would look. He's played well enough to earn extra minutes.

We can survive with Alston playing his usual near 40 minutes a night at the point with a combination of Brunson/Head at the two. It also might not hurt to give Hayes some minutes backing up Bogans. No, he doesn't have the shot and he's most effective playing close to the basket, but I would rather see him out there than Bowen. He's looked very promising and its a shame we can't find minutes for him.

Like I said before, i'm not trying to unfairly get down on Wesley but him not playing and getting a night off against a team like NJ isn't necessarily a bad thing. This is a game in which he would draw the troublesome assignment of guarding VC and being outmatched from the get-go.

Let him rest up, hopefully he will be ready to go on Wednesday.

Someone like a Derek Anderson would be really useful right about now.

Kid better work on his shot this summer, his mechanics could be better. Also needs to get stronger and put on some weight, after that he can work on his handle next season

For all of those who don't like to see Wesley in the lineup, you'll get a taste of the life without him tonight. I can assure you the Rockets will desparately need him. The guy is just solid like a rock, nothing fancy, flash, but solid, and doing a lot of little things called "foundamental" basketball.

Daoshi I agree with you , even though David is past his prime he gives 100% of his effort to the game. He will be missed!

According to this article, Wesley will be out at least a week. Our poor perimeter defense just got worse. Well, at least Yao finally turned into a monster this season. So the season is not all bad.
