Now i can honestly say I like our chances in the west. No its not because Willis is the guy that almost avg 20 rebs per a couple a seasons ago. No , he's not the savior of our young team either. What he does bring is rebounding , toughness, and a inside game.

Looking at Kevin's age will not tell the impact he will have on our team. Kevin is older than Hakeem, but Willis didn't have to carry a team for yrs like Hakeem had to. He still runs the court good, a very good rebounder, and a deadly jump hook, something he can teach Griffin, Cato, and Collier. He is a black hole though, so don't realy expect him to pass the ball out of the post. I think this move settles Rudy more than anything. Although he wants Francis and Mobley to dictate the offense, I think Rudy has confort knowing he can throw the ball in the post and get a high percentage of time. I mean this is the type of offense Rudy has coached for since 92.

Kevin only pushes minutes back from Collier, whom hasn't shown much since we drafted him. Plus knowing how foul prone Cato is, he provides great insyrance and a option. Kevin will not be 20ft shooting jumpers, but what he can do is hit from 15ft and rebound. Willis gives the offense an option to draw fouls against the other teams big man which only makes Francis and Mobley better. He can and will duplicate the minutes and probably production from the last time he played for us. Now I don't feel as though we have such a big do-nut at center. I think it was a great move and they didn't really give up much. I jus wish we could have sent Walt and Collier along.
