Well, obviously it's not as sweet this year as it was last year given the 4-year drought. But after the 6-11 start, a postseason berth definitely didn't look like a sure thing. Now the Rockets just have to hold off the Nuggets so they can get that 6th seed.

someone explain for me, why we are already in. minn already out ? no any chance after they lost to denver? Can we stay on 6th??
We clinched at least the 8th spot with the Minny loss and a Houston victory. Minny could still, technically, make the playoffs over Memphis. I'm not sure about Denver, they may have also clinched.
I'm worried about Denver overtaking us. They have a much easier schedule than us these last five games (six for them). It's imperative that we beat Denver when we play them and win two or three of the other four if we want to keep the sixth seed.
Minnesota can only catch Memphis and Denver because, mathematically, it's impossible to catch the Rockets. If the Rockets lose the rest of their games their record would be 46-36 and if Minnesota won all of their games they would be 45-37. And since Minnesota is the 9th team in the standings the Rockets cannot fall out of the playoffs. I'm not sure who owns the tiebreakers between the T-Wolves and Nuggets and Grizz, if Denver has the final tiebreaker against the Wolves then Denver is officially in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that the T-Wolves loss and Nuggets win clinched a spot for the Nuggets as well, but it doesn't matter, the T-Wolves are cooked.

There is still a possibility that both Denver and us will pass the Kings since the three teams only differ by 1 game in the loss column.
lol I'd definitely prefer playing the Sonics. We dont' have a power forward :/ But I think Yao and Tmac and everyone else will be ready to win it all in the playoffs. They will hopefully play their best. 150%.. I hope we don't play the Spurs.
If Rashard is out or banged up, our lack of athleticism at the 4 may not be that big of a problem. Also they got Vlad out and Antonio Daniels is hurt.
