Congrats RM95's Girl on finding the job you wanted. I'd have settled long ago, but you held out and got what you wanted. Now, that means we'll be moving to hell on earth. Just kidding. So, mrpaige, HOOP-T, RavenLunatic, TedRuxpin, nWo, et al., I'll be planning some Rocket and Texans get togethers, so clear your schedules!!!
Congratulations!! Sucks that you gotta move to Big D, but hey wherever there is work I guess. You can always move back to the REAL city - Austin Oh yeah and that thing that I was worried about on Tuesday - didnt happen thank God
Yea I will be there. I have nothing going on in Austin (all amigos and amigas will be out of town) so I am going to kick it in Big D for the long weekend. Do you think you will be moved by then?
Yeah, my lease is up on the 31st, so I gotta be out by then. All my moving will take place on the 30th and early morning 31st so I can get back to Austin for the UT game...then back to Dallas. I've already got a place in Dallas.
It's a shoebox on Cole just south of Knox in Highland Park. It's a 10 apt. complex for $525. Too cheap to pass up.
A shoebox for $525? I'd have rented you a refrigerator box for $500. Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all week. Seriously though, that is a good neighborhood. And you're light rail adjacent! (So in a few short months, you can come see exciting downtown Plano on the DART).
I think Dallas ranks a close second right behind Salt Lake City as worst places for a Houston sports fan to live...
Just don't expect to get there with any kind of speed. I took the light rail not too long ago for lunch, kind of as a novelty. I went from the furthest northern stop (currently) which was Gatlyn all the way to Mockingbird and I think it took somewhere around 40 minutes.
Well, I can't imagine that anyone would want to go to see downtown Plano anyway. Certainly they wouldn't be in a hurry to get there.
Well, I'm excited about the place. Really quiet. Now, you've all got to come out for a Texans or Rockets game!
Welcome to Dallas RM95 and RM95's girl. The fairweather fans here in Dallas are rough on us Houston fans, but it's ok. They are easy to deal with. I fully expect you to attend the Houston - Dallas showdowns at the AA Arena too. (Polish up your game too, we'll have to get out and play)
Nah, Dallas fans are usually too busy worrying about the folks with 49'ers, Redskins, and Cardinals license plates, not us. Besides, the Cowboys are not doing well right now, thus there are no fans to be found these days anyway...fear not. Although mr paige has a point.......
