All of them need to be promoted, the Rockets desperately need upgrades on the court, sidelines and in FO.
If Queen was ever to be brought up, he would likely be competing directly with Matthews for minutes. They have an almost identical shooting form, and Queen is obviously not shy about shooting 3s (10 attempts per game in the G-League).
Queen should be competing with Gary next season for that spot on the roster. He’s a better athlete, better defender, and better all around scorer. But Gary is gritty, plays good team defense, and when he’s hot he can put in a bunch of threes in a hurry. Neither should be playing over Christopher or KJ.
Queen is interesting and potentially the model SF we need on this team. Really would like to see him get a little run these last 2 games with our young backcourt.
If he has a good off season and pre season he should be getting Matthews spot. He has way more upside and if Garry isn’t hitting his 3s his almost non effective as a player.
