Man, this #1 pick stuff has really brought the GREAT (not just the good) back out of this BBS. It got so damn depressing in here at times this season and it was totally understandable. It's bad when Clipper fans come here to gloat! What a difference a pick makes and I couldn't be happier. This is ALWAYS a great place to talk Rockets. It's just a bummer when it is more fun to talk about something else. Charlie Palillo said on 610 today, "It's like being in an NBA city again." Rich Lord responded, "It is a very good thing." AMEN!

This is gonna be one crazy summer...can't wait till things start unfolding...As much as this preseason stuff is exciting, I have a feeling the reg. season will be more exciting...GO ROX!
I am so with you, Jeff. I have been pretty high on this team since we got Francis and Griffin, but this past season really kicked the guts out of me as a basketball fan. The prospect that the Rockets are on the cusp of unprecedented success and attention if really exciting. Certainly a lot more fun to talk about than Osama, Bush, or Jim Crow
Amen Jeff. Just last week, I was going to compose this lonnngg rant about what positions the fans are with this basketball team but after getting the first pick and all of these people bring the excitment back to the rockets, is just fine with me. The only bad news about it with me? No more buying $10 tixs and moving to better seats . But hey, I can live with that, as long as the place is packed and make this team feel like they have fans once again.
It's damn good to have all this excitement back again. And I thought lottery day would just be another bland "and the 5th pick is the Rockets" type day. But it sure wasn't. Also, y'all need to think all of us tankers for our hard work to make this all possible. While some of you were saying unproductive things like "improve Steve" or "hit that shot TMo" or "stop being lazy Cato" we were saying "come on, I know we can blow this 10 point lead with 3 minutes to go" and "way to dribble moochie" and "keep shootin' langhi." if we hadn't pushed and prodded this team to be as bad as it could be, maybe Cleveland is sitting in the driver's seat right now. How would you like that. So y'all need to thank all of us tankers like me, moestavern19, Dadakota (you were a tanker right?), Clutch, and whoever else I've forgotten. We did it for you. damn this is fun, now just don't blow it rudy, cd, and co.
