When it comes to rest, the fact is you should get at least 48 hours of rest before working the same muscle group. If you aren't fully recovered, take another day off. ------------------ I am the founding member of the Butt-Nekkid Party! White House here we come!
One thing you don't want to do when working out is work out to often. Then, you will not allow yourself time to recover and it will actually impede not only your muscle recovery but growth, also. When your younger, 48 hours should be all you need. When your older, 48-72 hours may be necessary. If it's much longer than that, then there may be something wrong with you . My rule of thumb is to just get in 3 good workouts a week. Two to keep you in shape if your getting lazy but three to see better results. If you start burning out, change up your workouts, the order in which you do your exercises, and maybe even take 3 to 4 days off to fully recover...but don't get into lazy mode. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Surfguy (edited September 15, 2000).]

You have to have some determination and consistancy to get a six pack. I have a friend in martial arts and he said that staying in a suspended crunch position for 5+ minutes at a time works the best. I tried it and failed, but I guess you have to be highly disciplined to do that. ------------------

Does anyone know if that Torso tiger thingy really work. I tried that suspended crunch and its no fun But on a brighter note; I increased the weights and lowered my reps to eight.
