Anyone else a Weekend partial season plan holder? I just found out today that the plan would include both a preseason game AND the MLK Monday afternoon game. I, like most people, work on that day and won't be able to make it. And in the past they NEVER included preseason games in the weekend plan. It almost seems like false advertisement to me (even if MLK is a holiday for some, that does not make it the weekend for ANYONE). Anyone else upset at this turn of events?
Call them up tell them your situation dude.. I'm sure they will trade you out for a Bobcat game or something.
Preseason games are always a sticky situation. Us season ticket holders have to pay for 3 of them every year at the same price we get the Lakers/Celtics/Cavs and every other regular season game... But there are no preseason games during the weekend unless they count Fridays as weekends...
This is the weekend 14 game plan. They haven't made the dates public yet, but my ticket rep was kind enough to share them with me. Yep, they do count Friday. I'm okay with Friday night being considered a weekend game... But not preseason games, and not Monday MLK day. The one they are including is Friday Oct 23rd vs. Dallas. My ticket rep says she can probably help me out with the Monday game, but claims the preseason game is a "free" game... I'm not sure how that is possible though as she lists it as one of the 14 games listed. I guess I'll have to wait until they are released officially to the public to really complain directly to the Rockets, but I will do so loudly once they are.
I feel for you on the season ticket deal. I have Texans season tickets and I have to do the same, buy the full priced preseason tickets in order to keep my season ticket package. I don't really feel like it's fair, but you know about it going in. In this case, nobody knew... In the past the weekend package did not include preason tickets, at last not in the last 3 years that I have had them. I feel kind of cheated that I paid in advance and now get treated this way. I wish I could get it refunded, I'd rather just buy single game tickets if it's going to be like that.

i still haven't paid off my Playoff tickets yet. My ticket rep called me and left me a voice mail. She always seems to get me when I have no signal. I'm coming with the money soon ma'am. You know, the old ticket rep used to move me down to Court Side every few games, so I expect the same, CT.
Unless your sale rep get the date wrong. Just FYI I got weekday 14-game premium plan. Pre-season game not included. My sale rep did through in a "Free" game into the package. But it is regular season game also. So I got total 15 games. Guess what the 1st game is? Nov. 4 vs Lakers. Another blowout win??
Well I did look at it in my account manager and the preseason game does show up as free, so that makes me feel a little better about that. However, now my 14 game plan is really 13 in my eyes. Last year they gave me a 15th free game, but it was a weeknight game. It was Orlando later in the season, so it was a pretty decent game. I'll probably try to purchase a couple of the missing weekend games in addition to these 12 weekend regular season games they've given me. Unsure of what ticket she'll trade me for the MLK Monday afternoon game, but even a weeknight game is better than that one since I will be at work.
Yeah, if you bought a 14-game plan, I'm not sure how the Rockets can say one of those 14 was a "free" game. Preseason games can be fun because they are an early look at the team, but certainly not the same as a regular season game. Sounds like the Rockets need to advertise it a little more honestly.
I got the 14 game premium plan, including an extra free Minnesota game. One thing I noticed, they had a plan with all the giveaway nights. These aren't usually the best opponents, but you do get the free stuff. I collect the bobble heads, so I will have to purchase those games. I also added some games like the Lakers & Celtics to my plan. Buy them now at regular price.
Clutch and Cool Gui, It is a 14 game plan (all regular season games). The preseason game is a throw in! A 15th game for free. You were not charged for the preseason game. interesting to see the advertising on the ticket price map, looks all graffiti artsy, reminds me of the advertising of NBA Street Homecourt when it came out, may a sign of things to come with the new slogan/advertising among other things that, or its just 2am in the morning for me and just trying to find stuff on the most minor clues
Thanks for the clarification. I assumed from CoolGui's post that there were 14 games, one of them being preseason, and that was considered "free". Turns out there are 15 games, with one being a free throw-in. However, unless I'm misreading the link you posted, there aren't 14 regular season games but rather 13, with two preseason games (one being the free one you mentioned).
I'm not sure where you got that image from, but the one on the site does not include the first preseason game, and the games listed in the online account manager confirms it for me. That being said, the one preaseason game does show as being free, so I only paid for 13 games, I'm not that upset about it. They usually let me buy other games at the package price without any fees, so I can make up the difference. I'm actually more upset about the MLK Monday game, being that it's early afternoon on a day I do not have off from work, and that is not on the weekend. For those buying from now going forward, since the plan schedule has been release, that's fine, they know going into it. But since I've purchased this plan in the past I just went ahead and bought it because my ticket rep said I should get a jump on it, and I assumed they would do right by me... evidently I was wrong, so I do feel it's a little dishonest. I'm not going as far to say it's criminal (I wouldn't know even if it was), but I certainly won't buy next year until I know which games are included.
I got it directly from the link... screencapped and pasted. I guess the 15th preseason game was an error because the Rockets found it after my post and changed it. So now it is just 13 games with one preseason game as the 14th game.
