I am currently with ipage and I find the service to be extremely slow. Any experience with ipage?

All I really have up is a test template and it is bad slow. I am using joomla if that makes a difference.

I use 1and1 because they are cheap. I've heard hostgator is pretty good. Avoid godaddy.com

You should try out amazon ec2. You can it for free for a year and you can install whatever software you want like node.js, tomcat or whatever you want.

i currently manage ~10 websites through bluehoest. great prices and service. ive also used 1&1 which i liked a lot, but bluehost gives you unlimited databases and has much simpler install process for things like wordpress

Bluehost is the hosting services I believe I am going to go with. Joomla themselves recommends them.
