    Tex,

Post this on a Vancouver board and see what they say.

Salsa-Let's take consolation in the fact they won't come close to winning the title, because Reeves has a big contract that NO ONE will take unless Bibby, Dickerson, Reef, or #2 (Swift) is latched on with it, and because they're doomed to be center less, they won't be able to beat any playoff team with Shaq, Duncan, Sabonis, or Mourning and more on it.

At least Cato has potential. [IMG]

I wouldn't call Vancouver underachieving; I would call them building.

    NIKEstrad,

Believe or not but Vancouver has been getting offers for Reeves.

    Addendum:

Even if Reeves drags them down this season, it will give Vancouver a shot at a real center in what looks to be a center heavy draft next June(Woods, Curry, Chandler, Haywood).

of course the grizz will get a real center. after underachieving this year they will be handed the #2 pick as always. vancouver most certainly underachieves. they have an extremely talented starting 5 and can barely win 20 games. the magic play .500 ball and dont have near the talent. they just dont know how to win no matter who is on the floor.

    Tex,

I am sorry but you fail to see what makes a team good or bad. Vancouver has a couple of glaring holes. Them winning 22 games really wasn't much of an underachievement.

Good info, I still think Fizer is the cream of this draft. He plays with Tude, and give me a dude with tude over a nice with spice player.

Corliss Williamson had Tude in college, but it hasn't translated to much in the NBA. Could Fizer be the biggest disappointment of this draft if he's drafted in the top 5? Hmmm...

If K-Mart measures out at 6 7.5 as some have reported, he would be my leading candidate for greatest college player to be a modest pro. Fizer has a rear end, outside range, and great court sense that should help him compensate for being on the shorter side. I think Fizer will be good (not Barkley-esk but maybe LJ-esk), but yes he could be another Big Nasty or Weatherspoon as well(very good back-up quality). But if K-Mart doesn't reach 6' 8" and doesn't turn out of have a Brand-like wingspan, there is no way I would take him or Fizer over Swift (if Swift is 6 9+). Martin's injury doesn't help either, I think there are good questions about him as well as Fizer.

SkyP- I'm confused to see you say Van is not underacheiving. Not long ago you staunchly defended that they have a core of better players than the Rockets (I agree), and yet this team won half as many games as the Rockets. Tex's comparison with the Magic (who could be called overacheivers) is also adequate. Does winning games factor into your idea of a good team? lol.

    Nolen,

I don't call the Grizzlies underachievers because they had an extreme lack of talent in the front court last year. They had two backup PFs sharing the duties at 4 and an injured, out of shape Reeves at the 5. When I said Vancouver has a better young core to build around then we do, I also included the #2 pick in that equation. Orlando did overachieve last year but if you look at why Vancouver lost games last year, it is easy to understand that they did not underachieve with their roster.

Why does it matter whether Kenyon is 6'7" and a half or 6'8". It's god damn half inch difference. Who cares. A half inch does not make a difference. Does it matter that Alonzo Mourning is really 6'9" and a half instead of 6'10". Does it matter that Hakeem is 6'10" and three quarters instead of 7 feet. It does not matter!

    Actually, that spells multiple picks!
    YOu spell rotation like this:

    R-O-T-A-T-I-O-N

Look at team weaknesses before looking at how good a trade is. At first glance a trade may look good, but if you look at the team weaknesses, you find if the trade really works or not and TeXaSalsa's trade doesn't help Vancouver one bit.

Sky- I understand you better. The #2 does help, doesn't it? [IMG]

Still, for a moment, I thought you were describing the woes at 4 and 5 for the Rockets. [IMG] Another question: do you think the Rockets have overacheived?

    Here's an interesting question:

    Cato-KT-Walt OR Reeves-Harrington-Abdur-Rahim

My choice would be the latter. Reef is too good.
