The 1999 draft was weak? If Vince was there the game may have been different, but damn they look good.

Odom, Francis, and Brand are going to be all-star starters soon. Brand will have the toughest time with Hill and carter. If the rooks hadn't made a few more mistakes than the sophmores, it would have been a blow out.

B Davis and J Terry will be good. szczerbiak has potential as a top scorer. Bender is the real deal, but won't develop without the ball. A Carter, Kenny, and V Cummings are good late picks. Rip is a player.

    1998 Top Players:

    Vince Carter
    Paul Peirce
    Jason Williams
    Michael Dickerson
    Raef Lafrenz
    Cuttino Mobley
    Dirk Nowitzski
    Antawn Jamison
    Bonzi Wells
    Larry Hughes
    Mike Bibby
    Michael Olowokandi
    (In no particular order)

    1999 Top Players:

    Steve Francis
    Lamar Odom
    Elton Brande
    Adrian Griffin (sp)
    Baron Davis
    Wally Sczerbiach
    Jason Terry
    Kenny Thomas
    Richard Hamilton
    Corey Maggete
    (In no particular order)

Out of the 98 class, I see 4 potential All-Stars (Carter, Williams, Peirce, Dickerson) and in the 99 class there are 3 (Francis, Odom, Brande).

Are you trying to tell me that Mobley is a better player than Jamison? I'd trade Mobley for Jamison in a heart beat, and laugh my way to the victory column.

Uh oh, here we go again. People wanting to trade Mobley. What's wrong with you guys??!! Just kidding...

I don't see where he said Mobley's better than Jamison.

It seemed to me that he was listing the draftees in order of talent. Of course, it's also possible that he was listing in order of who came to his mind first, which would also explain why the top picks came first... I should have made that clear in my first post.

He edited the post... I suppose I shouldn't have assumed they were ordered. [IMG]

Don't worry Haven, I'd make that trade, too. Now pardon me whilst I run for cover. [IMG]

Haven, sorry, I listed in order of who came to mind first. Went back and edited. No doubt, Jamison is better than Mobley. No argument from me there, I'm not much of a Mobley fan at all.

Maggette is a player, and will be an allstar in a couple of years.

Bonzi Wells on a regular team with minutes would be awesome. he will be awesome anyways if he gets the chance to log major minutes. he averages like 8ppg in 16 min. imagine 35 min. bonzi is very explosive and could be an allstar 1 day

Salsa, agreed. He reminds me of a young Isiah Rider. Similar sturdy, low-cut build. Very explosive first step, and dangerous in the low post because of his low center of gravity. Sees the court well from the post. Not much of a greyhound in terms of running the court, because of his build, but he's not Walt Williams either. I think Bonzi on the Dallas Mavericks could develop into a very productive player.
