    1. Phoenix
    2. San Antonio
      [*]Seattle
      [*]Dallas
    3. Houston
    4. Sacramento
    5. Denver
      [*]Memphis

Bold means the team is locked in that seed regardless of the outcome of the remaining games. Phoenix single handedly could pretty much firm this list up tomorrow if they beat Denver since Denver is the whipping boy in the tiebreaker scenarios and is a game behind both Sacramento & Houston.

Even though this list is not final it would surprise me to see any of the teams move up or down at this point with Peja out hurt and Houston having the tiebreaker edge over Sacto.

I do too but we'd need Denver to lose 1 game and use to lose however many games Sacramento loses +1 and I don't see that happening since we play the Clip joint and afforementioned Sonics in a game where they will likely be resting their players for the playoffs since it has no bearing on their standing.

SAC has utah and phx remaining. they should beat the jazz and lose to the suns. final record 50-32.

DEN has phx and port remaining. they should lose to the suns and beat the blazers. final record 49-33.

WE have lac and seattle remaining. we should win them both. final record 51-31.

now if we lose them both, we would tie denver and have the 6th seed thanks to the tie-breaker. I don't believe it will happen though. in the event that sacto loses to utah and the nuggs come back after our whooping and beat the suns then we would be screwed.

better safe than sorry IMO. lets get 51 and take dallas to 7.

if we want to play the sonics? solution: tank both games to seattle and clipps. problem? JVG won't do that, we're playing the mavs, what a hard first round opponent.

    Tanking any game is stupid..period..
Plus what happens if the Rockets tank both games while Denver wins both of theirs?

tanking becomes much easier if the nuggets loose their first game.

However, the unofficial penalty for tanking a game seems to be that the refs take a game from you later that you want to win. Isnt this what happened in the Golden State game after the funny New Orleans loss?

Houston put in a very laxidasical 4th quarter performance against NO on the 1st April, when it looked to many people like loosing some games would be a good way to get to the 6th seed. Then they lost against Phoenix, with Minnie, Denver and Memphis all putting on good runs, and suddenlly it seemed they might struggle to qualify for the post season at all.

In the subsequent game (5th April) Golden State had 41 free throws, 22 more than Houston and comments were made on this site about the very dubious refereeing.

    Thats all..

No I am not, what happened to Rice in baseball this year though?

I know you lost all your starters from last year but Collegiate Baseball doesn't even have Rice in the top 30 which is unheard of for you guys.
