I hate the Thunder, I have for a while now. But I never truly realized just how much I hate them until last night. They are playing the Jazz, the f**king Utah Jazz, and I'm still actively wanting to see the Thunder lose. I didn't even feel bad about watching the Jazz succeed. I didn't think that was possible. Somehow I think the Jazz have fallen out of my top 5 most despised teams. The hatred for the Stockton/Malone squads is eternal though, nothing's bouncing that.
Lol at least they fared much better than - Butler/Towns/Wiggins/Teague - Giannis/Jabari/Bledsoe/Middleton
The Jazz roster is just filled with likable guys now. Mitchell is by all accounts a great kid. Rubio, Gobert, and Ingles are also humble and well liked. The closest thing to a flaw is Ingles holding it against the Clippers for cutting him. Hell yeah, I'm rooting for them over primadonnas like Westbrook, PG, and Melo.
Doesn't matter which one we play. We just need that series to go 7 games while we rest as much as possible.
Which of OKC's big three is SAS being a shil for this time? The proper take should be the opposite: Westbrook blamed everything on Scott Brooks when he was coach, and now they're doing it to Donovan. The primary risk factor in sucking is Westbrook, and the coaches are the confounders.
funny how westbrook doesn't get the playoff choker label like harden or cp3. westbrook blew a 3-1 lead and lost in the first round last year while shooting like garbage and blowing 4th quarters.
thing is we match up so well with the jazzholes. clint keeps gobear occupied and they have nobody who can stay in front of beard. and then, just think of all the youtube highlights with rubio being put in the popcorn machine on switches
I have been telling people all year that this OKC team is nothing to worry about. They are built around 3 guys that are not winners. I know people here are infatuated with the idea of adding PG or Melo to this team but I don't get it. Melo has never been anything other than a ball hog. The fact that he played in the East and could not lead team to the playoffs since 2012 tells you that he is not a true superstar. Tell me all you want about his supporting cast but remember, the its the East, where teams barely over .500 can reach the 5 seed in some years. PG is also too inconsistent. Yes, you get games like Game 1, but the self proclaimed 'Playoff P' isn't someone you bring in the put you over the hump. You're telling me that OKC is led by WB and PG and they go 48-34 in the regular season? That tells me everything I need to know. Like Bill Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are."
Agree about Melo. Strongly disagree about PG. PG is absolutely someone that gets you over the hump granted you have a superstar in place (anyone other than Westbrick) and he’s a stud in every sense. Westbrook is holding PG back and he should’ve deferred to him from day 1 and I bet the Thunder would’ve been much better off but that’s just not in WB’s DNA.
I think it's time for OKC to really fire Donovan, his coaching is bad, they should sign someone like McHale.
Because he plays "hard" with "intensity" at "100 MPH", therefore he is immune to criticisms about losing. So says the media. Must be the coach's or his teammates faults for not helping him enough. Melo playing his usual shitty game though, so there is that.
OKC is all about rebounds. Steven Adams - 7 rebounds. Gobert - 15 rebounds (5 offensive) Favors - 16 rebounds (8 offensive) BALL GAME. Oh, and Mitchell's 14 of his 28pts in the 4th and OK3 held scoreless. ;-)
