I see T-Mac only went 5-15 from the field. Was Cat covering him? How did his defense look because it seems Cat is playing better D than last year from the stats.

I didn't watch the game, but wouldn't it be Kenny who's guarding T-Mac?

T-mac played alot at the 2 guard last year. Like I said, I didn't watch the game so I don't where T-Mac was playing.

cat didn't spend much time on him, if i remember right. it was mainly a kenny thomas and juaquin hawkins rotation. the defense was pretty good but then again tmac wasn't all out aggressive in this one.

If KT can keep up with T-mac that quickness is not an issue at all with him the 3.

    I'm so confused:confused:

I guess no one was covering him, and we still kept him at 33%. Thats what I call great team defense.:D

Griffin was guarding TMac during a stretch when the Magic went really small. ON those plays though, Griffin fouled a couple times. The main reason for TMac's bad shooting....IMHO was Hawkins. Hawkins played smart and fundementally sound defense. He didn't try doing to much. But he put some good pressure on McGrady.

yes he did spend time on him but i definitely saw kt guard tmac several times as well. either way, being able to stay with either of them shows that he can play the position.

McGrady hasn't been shooting well in the preseason - 5-15 is pretty much about what he's been shooting all preseason.

From the radio, though, I don't think Cat was on him much, nor was any one player.

cat was covering Mcgrady for a while. Actually, the most unbelieavable play i saw during the game was Cat actually blocked McGrady's fadeaway:eek: i rarely see anyone blocking McGrady!! Cat has really played good D all preseason.

well through the first quarter, and i believe that's all tmac played in the first half, glen rice guarded him on every defensive set but the very first one, when he missed a turnaround on mobley. kt picked him up on a switch once as well. he missed about 5 or 6 shots in this span. was it rice's defense? probably not and the offense didn't really rely on mcgrady.

I believe that Cat stripped the ball from TMac, not really blocked his shot.
