My friend who works for the Warriors mentioned that they were going to obtain the #16 pick. Anyone heard anything to back this up? Does Philadelphia have the option to send their first round pick elsewhere this year?
This has been rumored for a while now. Philadelphia has denied it, but no one believes them. Philly isn't supposed to complete any trades with their pick at this time because of future obligations (not allowed to trade back to back future picks but they can make the trade immediately after selecting the player), so there's a reason they're denying the rumors. It is believed Golden State wants the pick so they can get a point guard. They will get locked out of JW and don't view Wagner as a point, so they need another pick to get the point. 16 should allow them to get Dickau or Williams.
