Have the Rockets ever, EVER heard of a bloody double team? I DON'T CARE IF SOMEONE ELSE BEATS US, JUST GET THE DAMN BALL OUT OF KIDD'S HANDS! My god, what were they doing? He, one of the worst shooters in league history, was scoring at will. What do they do? They put the Rockets crap defensive guards on him for single coverage. Oh yeah, that's really smart. Jason Kidd outscored the entire team in that quarter.
But of course, the Rockets didn't lose this because of Kidd. They lost it because they choked. To counter-act this choke, they went with a lineup consisting of Bullard-Walt-Norris-Francis-Kenny. My god, that has to be the worst defensive lineup in the league. RUDY, WAKE UP! This team is losing because of garbage defense, not crap offense.
I'm ready to fully write off the playoffs. It figures that the game that ended hope for the Rockets was lost thanks to the one consistent problem all year: Garbage rotations.
Once again, the Rockets were up 12 in the third. They waited until it was a 4 point game to call timeout. Smart.
Now the Rockets have to go undefeated. We know that isn't going to happen. They couldn't even get a winning streak started before they choked the playoff hopes away.
    I disbelieve.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Prempeh-I suppose you are satisfied with the play of the Rockets tonight? If no, then you need to shutup...

I was wondering why the hell we let Kidd, Rogers, and Googs post us up for easy buckets... It's not like we had a 20 pt lead and could afford to trade baskets...

In addition, Pho is a very poor perimeter shooting team...

Gotta wonder why Rudy has to hit the bars before the game, as opposed to afterwards...

Yes, I just wanted to harp on it again. This game was the dumbest sh** I have seen in a while.

Yeah, but lots of people leave empty-handed (headed?).

Too bad there's not a basketball school of intelligence.

    YAHOOO!!! [IMG]

Been having computer problems all day, but finally got on board! (DAMN, I MISSED YOU GUYS!!)

Maybe because Phoenix has a bit more talent than the Rockets. Maybe because Phoenix's strength, their forwards, are the Rockets' weakness. That's why the Rocks have had trouble with the Suns, they just don't match up very well. Keep in mind that arguably their best overall player, Marion, was quiet last night.

Fact is, you want Kidd to shoot the ball, eventhough he's become a solid shooter in the last few years. If you double him, he just picks you apart (think about it, have you EVER seen anyone trap or double-team Kidd or Stockton). Just so happens, he was REALLY making his shots last night. Maybe that's why he's one of the best.

Ok... It's no secret that Bullard and Williams aren't good defensive players right? With that having been said, why don't we at least play Rogers and Cato and see what kind of defense they can provide us? We don't lose anything by trying to change matchups... If it doesn't work, it doesn't work... But Rudy seemed incessant on having Bullard and Walt becoming our defensive stoppers...

Also, regarding Kidd, ya you generally want him to shoot... But after he went off for his first 20 points, shouldn't Rudy realize that Kidd is on fire? And has been for the past 2 weeks?

Sometimes Rudy doesn't realize what it is that is kicking his ass, when it is painfully obvious...

I wish he would try to change things up once his original assignments prove to fail... ie. Bullard and Walt playing post-up d, and refusing to double down on Kidd...

Like you said Marion had a bad game... Which is why we should have forced Kidd, Googs, and Rogers to give the ball up to who? You guessed it, Marion...

Rudy failed to do anything about the Suns strengths (Kidd, Googs, Rogers) yesterday, and he failed to take advantage of their weakness (Marion)...

If he did bother to play 5 diff guys on Kidd, Rogers and Googs, I would have no problem and would simply say that there was nothing we could do...

But, reality is, that we had plenty of other alternatives, yet Rudy was too stubborn and stuck with what was killing us...
