Definately he will be, if he does something foolish. He will lose his fans too,then lose everything . Fortunately he is a smart boy, he can use his brain. He will clean all the speculations up. I just can not believe the report/speculation about his defecting coming from non-evidenced nowhere.
the sources are speculating tho....as I believe alot of Americans would given the facts that we seem to think everyone wants to live here but the report also states that he has missed 2 deadlines to return...and he has talked about wanting to stay here for the summer leagues and such. Can you speculate on how much trouble he will get in with the authorities for his insubordination?

My first thought when I heard the news this morning was how would it effect Yao and the draft. I am very concerned that this will make an already tough negotiation with the Chinese even tougher.
How About... I know this will never happen, but lets get Wang to defect, get Wang as a free agent, convince Yao to do the same, start a war with China over two basketball players, win the war, set China free, and then have the Rockets win the championship forging historical legends in the process! Wang isn't Cuban and this isn't major league baseball. The NBA would never harbor him if he defected, so where's the incentive in doing it? This is just sensationalism anyways.
