Secrid was my favorite until the Andar Pilot came along. Andar is the best minimalist wallet with maximum functionality which includes RFID blocking, money holder, outside quick access slot, spring loaded lever that allows you to quick draw 5-6 credit cards. All of it is wrapped in a very premium feeling leather in a variety of colors.
I can't believe the OP hasn't gotten a pizza wallet already. I keep hoping I see this: "Got the pizza wallet. /thread"
i carry one of those clutch man purse wallet when i'm traveling. i put everything in there, cell phone, cards, cash, pen, drugs, and passport. it's convenient, don't care how it looks. but will get royally fugged if i lose it abroad. something like this.
Just yesterday I noticed my coworkers wallet and it was a ridge. Looks interesting. I had a very nice tradition bifold leather wallet ( alligator Wehmeiers), then I slimmed down to a paper wallet when I traveled over seas. I stuck with that for a while but the last year and a half or so I've used a Filson front pocket leather wallet. It's okay. I like leather but it's a bit bulky
received a gucci and a kiton as gifts the past couple years, but still just use the $20 one i bought near trevi fountain 18yrs ago. this old school senior citizen roman had a leather workshop there and someway somehow this thing still looks almost new
I bought a very plain but very nice bifold in the Coach store that was in the World Trade Center. I used it well past its usefulness given the sentimental value I attached to it. I then moved on to a very not plain, multi-colored leather bifold designed by Takeo Kikuchi. I came across it randomly in Japan years ago and was strangely drawn to it. I wasn't even looking to purchase anything, I just saw it and knew I needed to get it. That wallet too is approaching the end of its natural life. I'm not sure what I'll do next. The newfangled thing that OP led with is not for me, though, I know that. I'll probably either go with something from Velez whose leather goods are surprisingly nice and often weirdly inexpensive or I'll just wait until I find my own version of an old guy by the Trevi Fountain.
The reason I bought the big skinny was that I was tired of having a thick wallet and I am also not one to put my wallet in my front pocket. The big skinny was the best I've found. It is so thin, and it is cheap also, so yeah I'm satisfied with it.
Quicksilver with velcro since high school. It is barely functional, and my wife makes fun of me for it. Bought it 23 years ago at the Yaga store on the Strand. I also have the same key chain a friend gave me 22 years ago.
Why anyone puts their wallet in their back pocket confounds me. You have to sit on it and it's much easier to get stolen that way.
Yep, exactly, I might eventually combine phone and wallet, but I'm currently using wallet in the front pocket woooo
I tried money clips, this card holder with a money clip attached, and a similar wallet/phone case to some of those posted here. I always come back to the tried & true. Although nothing was more satisfying than ripping open velcro nylon wallets when I was a kid. The sound that says, yeah I have the cash for a double scoop, and will be playing spy hunter ALL DAY at the Peppermint Express. Or baseball card shop. Rip it open with authoriti. Past few years, just the basic department store timberland leather bi-fold. Just look at that stitching quality. They didn't quite know what to do at the corner.
