But Mack has beaten Bob Stoops? I've always thought that aggies were obsessed with the University. Apparently, the dirt burglars are all about Texas as well.

It only counts if UT lost. Remember, unc would have been a big game, if we had lost.

Prempeh,

Simms did great today, his pick was a tip by Roy, and his other passes were right on the money.

We have allstar receivers-they should learn how to catch fireballs, it isn't very tough for athletes of this caliber.

Mduke,

Get over yourself. And get some new lines. Your vaunted Sooners are not the same team as the last 2 and you WILL MISS Williams and Calmus. Plus if your offense scores 3 on our defense I will be stunned. And we will not be shutout. I can't wait until we shut you up next weekend.

Btw all these Simms bashers need to start watching him play this year and then come talk to me.

He has been the best player on offense for UT this year and is playing smart football.

Lets see: Two good defenses yet one team has a kickass offense and the other is horrible, unless Stoops is a miracle worker or Davis decides to give the game away, you will not win this year.

And that's a fact, Jack!

you didn't answer my 2nd question. And we'll try not to get outgained by our crappy opponent next week either. Simms for Heisman.

the same offense that scored 17 on OSU?
what, getting sick of hearing how many championships Stoops has? And how he beat you by 49 points? Why don't you get some new lines, Mr. "This year is our year". I thought last year was your year?

For reference, OU is averaging just 12 yards less per game than us, and is actually averaging more per play. Neither team is ranked in the top 30 in total offense, and both have played horribly weak schedules. Both teams are ranked in the top-5 in scoring offense, but both have scored a significant chunk of their points on defense and special teams (or field position by the defense).

As of right now, neither team has a "kickass offense" by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, DV, you definitely can't respond to the latter, since whatever happened last year automatically happens this year. It's one of those new theorems they teach at OU.

Also, Miami's offense scored 12 last year against Boston College, what a garbage team that was.

Hybl for Heisman. He has good numbers, and is the quarterback on a top team.

Stoops has one championship, Duke. ONE. It really is a small number. You seem to like living in the past. 63-14 was TWO YEARS AGO!!! Last year it was 7-3 the entire game and either team could've won, or did you black that out of your memory too.

Our offense is kickass, whether you believe me or not is your problem. I'm sorry if Davis is a terrible OC, but we do have a damn fine offense.

Oh by the way, remind me again-who lost to OSU at home last year with the big 12 championship berth on the line? and almost lost to them the year before as well?

So maybe you aren't giving OSU enough credit.

Like I said, start living in the present, teams change a lot from year to year and this game is no different. And I would be utterly shocked if you beat us this year with your offense.

Hybl for Heisman? Either you are a dumbass or are being really sarcastic? I hope its the latter, for your sake.

Btw, in case, you didn't know, the University of Texas is a top football team, and a much better overall University. So start giving us some respect, please.

Which seems to be impossible for you to do as you are stuck in the past.

Maybe you should watch Back to the Future so you can get in touch with reality?

I am not a Simms basher -- never have been -- but that doesn't mean I'm blind to things he can improve on.

He has my full-fledged support. But think about it, if our all-star receivers can't catch these balls, who does? I don't mind the laser beams when he is throwing a quick slant or situations over the middle where you don't wanna leave your wr in no man's land. But does he really need to fire a bullet to Matt Trissel on a swing pass that hits his shoulder pad right as he is turning around?

Like I said, I don't have much reason to complain because I agree that he has played really well this season, but a lack of touch has always been one of my pet peeves with him. It's why throughout his career he has gotten a lot of tipped balls at the line, and also why he's thrown a lot of picks to db's and lb's whose assignments were nowhere close to the receiver he is throwing to.

I just wish he would let our receivers make plays more often. That's what made Applewhite so statistically brilliant. I'd like to see a YAC comparison between Simms and Applewhite -- I bet it would be ridiculously in favor of Major.

WE WANT CHANCE!! WE WANT CHANCE!! :D j/k

(1) Mack Brown has ZERO championships.
(2) Whatever the score was last year, *we lost*.

Our offense is kickass, whether you believe me or not is your problem. I'm sorry if Davis is a terrible OC, but we do have a damn fine offense.

The OC is part of the offense. We don't have a kickass offense by any stretch this year (as of now - that could change if they collectively get their heads out of their asses).

Oh by the way, remind me again-who lost to OSU at home last year with the big 12 championship berth on the line? and almost lost to them the year before as well?

OSU is *bad*. Very, very bad. The fact that they beat OU last year doesn't make them good.

Hybl for Heisman? Either you are a dumbass or are being really sarcastic? I hope its the latter, for your sake.

He's surely being sarcastic, but statistically, Hybl has been better than Simms thus far this year.

Btw, in case, you didn't know, the University of Texas is a top football team, and a much better overall University. So start giving us some respect, please.

I don't see mduke NOT giving UT respect. I find it funny that UT fans are talking trash and keep claiming superiority over OU when we have yet to actually earn it on the field. Very eerily similar to last year... Until we beat OU, their fans have all the bragging rights. They earned that by kicking our asses the last two years.

It has about as much meaning as Simms for Heisman. Oh wait, Simms is better because his name is Simms. Numbers don't matter:rolleyes:

If your offense is kickass, ours is terrible, that's pretty hypocritical, don't ya think? Pretty much the same production this year....But wait, "You're Texas" so you must be better, I'm sorry.
Oh by the way, remind me again- who lost to OU last year, got in the Big 12 championship not because of something they did, but something OSU did?
Brown has zero championships, DV. ZERO. It really is a much smaller number. He has the same number as RC Slocum.

Greg Davis was never a problem when Applewhite was at QB.

If the offense is too conservative it's because GD/Mack don't have the confidence in Simms that they did in Applewhite. You don't open it up with a mistake-prone QB. Quit blaming GD for the offensive woes.
