Well, you have a point. If Texas executes the way they should, it's never that close in the first place. However, the game did end up being close, and having seen the replays several times, there were two obvious botched calls leading to the OSU touchdowns. As far as I know, the ball does have to be catchable in order for it to be pass interference, and Puedlfor thinks the same. (just checked with him) The other call I was disputing wasn't the other pass interference, or the unsportsmanlike conduct. The unsportsmanlike call was the right call... whoever we had defending on the play just stepped on the OSU player. It sucks, but that's the right call. The one I dispute is on Tatum Bell's TD run. On about the 30 yard line, when he just avoided the sideline, the OSU receiver (Woods I think) is literally giving Rod Babers a bearhug... he can't even come close to making the tackle. I agree with you on the first part of the statement... the blame is all on us for letting the game be so close. But, sometimes it ends up that way, and the refs did screw up several times. If we had lost, it certainly wouldn't be all on them, but they did play a part.
The incident happened at about 11:00 on the night of the 17th... there are no posts from me after the 18th (within 24 hours). I did not apologize in that thread, but another one down the line, where someone else made some sort of remark like you did. I don't remember what the thread was about.
Definitely can't call PI if the ball is not catchable. I thought they missed alot of blatant holds against osu and a blcok in a back that led to a huge punt return. 2 yards from the play.
Yeah, you're right. Thinking back, there did seem to be a lot of holding calls they missed. I also apparently can't read am and pm.
On a serious note, I really am sorry if anyone took offense to my comments about the officials at the Saints game. I apologized later on, and thought most people saw it, but apparently I was wrong. I would never do or agree with anything like that... I am just extremely reactionary and hyped up during games, and I guess posting about it is like a release of frustration. Hell, I didn't start posting at cc.net until I got really fed up with the officials one night and registered. I will try and stay out of those conversations in the future, as I didn't realize that many people had a problem with it. I think I have something we can all agree on, though: OU sucks. Better?

I ordered my OU sucks shirt last week... hopefully I will get it before the game. I may wear it Friday night, but I am a bit afraid of wearing it to the game... my ticket is in the OU section, and I'd prefer not to have beer all over me.
