He's a freediver. They train for stuff like this. Very dangerous, I remember watching an episode of Real Sports on the subject. They have to hold their breath for several minutes while doing challenging activity then when they reach their point they have to come up slow and steady or risk further injury or death. Pretty coo for those who do it, to me anyway.
