mcnair had a strong arm, it over comes a lot when you can chunk it like farve, elway, etc.

I won't go as far as saying Fisher made him him into a TWO TIME MVP but he was the MVP TWICE under Fisher and had GREAT passing years. His first few years he had Eddie FREAKING George and led them to a Super Bowl...what more did you want them to do?

= 2 seasons ago, 2 years ago. Not last year, or "a year ago"

Anyway who cares? 1 year ago, Collins was looking pretty much done, and at his age, the likelihood of him retapping his fall 2008 form, 2 years later, is unlikely.

Probably because he hath bamboozled the Texans in their own house on multiple occasions.

    So has Manning.

The hate all has to do with the arguments during the draft.

And this is because there is a huge UT alumni population in Houston who are very loyal to their school.

I agree with you. Mario/Schaub vs Vince still linger although it has become fairly obivous who wins that debate now.

And that's fine. They wanted VY. I wanted Reggie. But I didn't become a Saints fan.

    You know it wasn't Mario/Schaub.

It was Mario/Carr. If they drafted VY then they would have gotten rid of Carr.

At the time it was but when Carr was released and the Texans made it obivous they screwed up with David, I think it shifted to Mario/Schaub. I still hear people saying VY is the better QB and the Texans should have drafted him over Mario.

The complication is that the Oilers/Titans were here first.

And I was an Oilers fan. I still followed them after they left. I like McNair and Eddie George and Al Del Greco.

You can't deny the underlying hate for UT by non alumni on this board.
If VY didn't win a national championship, there would be no epic thread like this.

It's hard to gauge team success, the Titans have been better than the Texans for that span of time.

Reggie Bush won a superbowl, but that wasn't because of him.

the idea of Houston getting a hometown or college hero would have been cool. You don't know how good VY would have been with the Texans especially having Andre Johnson as the star receiver.

I've honestly always been so intrigued with the idea of VY in Kubiak's system. He would be DYNAMITE doing the bootleg but also would have a REALLY hard time reading defenses and finding his recievers in this offense. The argument should be moot by now, Schaub and Mario are top five at their position while VY is MAYBE top 15 at his.

love or hate VY or ie VY fans, this thread is epic. Always popping up when the Titans lose a game.

he's got a pretty good record as a starting QB. Nobody is jumping ship on this thread because he had a bad game, in fact only makes it more popular.
