get some money and buy the team from Bud then.

If i won a billion dollars i'd buy the team from Les Alexander and rehire Calvin
and put coach Maxwell and Sampson on the squad.
and turbo would be back too.

i dont like Les alexander, doesnt mean i dont like the Rockets.

So if someone sticks a hot poker in your eye you just ignore it?

I'm a Vince fan so it doesn't annoy me in that way, it annoys me that someone starts this just to piss other fans off. That's trollish and unworthy.

No. If there's a hot poker sitting there, you don't go and stick your eye in it. People aren't being forced to open up the thread - they are choosing to do that on their own.

I agree with you about the motivation, but non-fans could have chosen to ignore this. Instead, they came in here trolling too.

    that is basically My position

I know folx that have followed Vince since he was in PEEWEE Leagues
[Listen to KCOH sometimes . .those dudes talk about how they knew then. . .]

I am not a bandwagon fan of the Texans
I am not a Fan at all. I have tried but they have not endeared themselves to me

    Demeco Ryans . . . Dunta Robinson . . . .Andre Johnsons
they make me move in that direction . . but they need help
    This teams has to get. . .uhm , ., , ., PERSONALITY
Carr doesn't have any . . he is bland
I have warmed up to the colors but I still hate the name
I still have the LongHorn [even if it looks better than the one in Austin]

This thread isn't directed at VY fans. It is intended to antagonize. We all know some non-fans will ignore such provocations but others will anger at the affront and jump in. I can't blame either, but I will blame an idiot who starts a thread like this.

The titans have as much if not less talent than Houston, yet they have beaten the likes of the Giants, Eagles, and Colts. Especially remarkable considering that they were laughingstock of the NFL under kerry collins. I wonder what changed: oh that's right, Vince became the starter in week 4 and has directed them to a 5-4 record since his takeover. Vince is a WINNER. He was a winner at Madison, a winner at Texas(I am an alum) and will be a winner in the pros. I can cite numerous examples of his special ability while at each stop on his journey so far. And my allegiance runs far deeper as a Horn than it does with the NFL. Thus I am a fan of horns in the NFL, and the titans especially due to them having Vince.

The texans blew it big time on draft day and they will get the misfortune of having the hometown stud they idiotically passed on dominate them twice a season for the next decade. Plus to make matters worse, they will cut david carr after the season more than likely, and will be needing to draft a qb.

Everybody tries to find reasons Vince couldn't play QB in the NFL, but the guy has IT. He has the leadership of an elway, and he exudes confidence. And confidence on a football team starts at the top, the quarterback position. I guarantee you despite whatever texan players say publically they lack full confidence in Carr.

I bet there will be more VY fans in attendance sunday than Texan fans, and you can get used to that for titan games at Reliant unless the texans start winning and make people forget. But they have a long way to go to do that.

Hey dude, this is a Houston pro sports fan website. Don't come look in a thread that supports a team from another city? Bite me. All of yall should just get it over with and move to Tennesee. There you can cheer for Rudy Gay, Vince Young and the Chattanooga Lookouts at the Dollywood sports bar together forever. Good riddance.

This is just funny. This is a Houston Rockets fan site and they have fans from ALL over the world.

But, just to play your Houston card. Vince played at UT, and won a national championship last year, and...TOUGH GUY.....he is FROM Houston !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, there is nothing wrong with rooting for a hometown hero....the irony, and the problem is that the hometown team made a MONUMENTAL blunder by not drafting him when they had the chance.

And.....here is one more big ole sloppy... I TOLD YOU SO !!!!

Where is RIC now????? HMMMMMMMM?????? Where is his pathetic argument that no one INSPIRES their teamates to play better.

Vince is EXACTLY what the Texans need, and it chaps my butt that he will be screwing the Texans for the next 12 years.....oh the irony.

i promise you the fans will be negatively vocal towards carr.

i'm guessing VY will get more of a welcome..a bigger applause...than "our own" david carr.

all those teams were around when you were a kid. of course you're gonna grow up feeling they were are part of you. the Texans are 5 YEARS OLD! granted, they havent' done much for us to cheer about, but how is not giving them any loyalty just b/c they haven't achieved anything different than being a bandwagon fan?

i'm suggesting loyalty doesn't just happen when it's in regard to a team you didn't grow up with. the point you made first is exactly what i'm saying. you act as if you have some great responsibility to be a texan fan...like it's your duty or something. i had season tickets the first 3 seasons. my feelings for the texans are light years away from where they are for the astros and rockets.

i don't doubt they will cheer loudly for VY. but you can't tell me the majority of the crowd is gonna be there to cheer for the Titans to win.

i'm not saying that. but i don't think it's gonna be a strong homefield advantage, either. i don't think you're gonna have fans cheering wildly for the texans. we're not far away from seeing folks with sacks over their head week in and week out.

Max, i know you are a fan of VY and you don't openly root for the Texans to lose. i'm referring to fans who just all of a sudden changed their stripes.
