    well...

span seemed a lot more tame last night. a little less natural and played without the wreckless abandon that he played with in the first several games. it's a good thing he played within the flow of the offense, but i wish he and jvg could come up with a way to incorporate the "wild" part of his game into... well... the game. drawing charges, steals, slashing more to the basket, and letting him create more for his teammates.

i know... it's still only preseaon.

I don't think it makes too much sense to argue about whether we got a steal with Spanoullis, or if he'll be a dud. It is just far too soon to tell.

It seems like what is open for debate is how soon he make the adjustments he needs to make to be a contributor to our team. He is still a turnover machine at this very early stage in his NBA career. JVG's systems are known for being complex. So that won't help adjust faster, but I do hope that he gets some minutes on a regular basis to help his transition period.

He has a lot of valuable tools. It will just take some serious work on his part to adjust quickly to the NBA game.

I would love to hear the crowd sing "Wild Thing" when VSpan comes off the bench. That would be special.

That could be something the Red Rowdies start, great idea. Eventually the Rockets brass will tune into it and cue the music -- awesome!
