Neither Battier nor Artest is big enough to block out the larger more athletic PFs in the league... DD
I thought I might share the nickname a friend and I came up with for Von Wafer. Since his name is Von Wafer (VW) We started calling him Farf (short for farfegneugen--once VW's slogan.) It kind of describes his play and is fun to say. Go Farf!!
Wafer should play more, and learn more, he is the only one who can still become better even he may not play well in one game. I do not understand why he was not used in last a few weeks to replace Luther or Jon.
we finally get a win with Wafer, I think we are 2-4 with him having solid games.....love that guys energy!
Unfortunately, I dont get the games up here in lubbock but Wafer has really surprised me...how has this guy not established himself in the NBA yet? To me this guy has all the tools to be a solid rotational player...shooting range, athleticism, and good size for a gaurd. The thing i like most about him is he's still hungry..he brings serious passion and heart whenever he sets foot out onto the court. Watching that video of his shot last night and his celebration afterwards..you can just feel for the guy and his desire and hard work paying off. Im glad he got to be a hero in a time where our Hero cannot be found
I don't like that nickname. Looks to much like Fart! I rather people find something in relation with his real name: Vakeaton. Which makes me think abit of Pharaon. Or somebody should come up with something in relation with his Fo-Hawk. I read somewhere Vo-Hawk and thought that was pretty cool
Great job from the real SG on the Rockets Von Wafer may he now be the starting SG on this team and leave Tracy Mcbaby on the bench with his ugly ass suits! Hey Clutch fans! check out my blog on the Rockets and tell me what yall think. www.ovill27rockets.blogspot.com
I remember this exchange during the Warriors game on ESPN JVG: I like Von Wafer Mike Breen: I like Vanilla Wafers *pause* Mark Jackson: That was weak JVG: I hope you weren't waiting all night to use that! This thread just reminded me of that. Back to the topic, I love me some Wafer!
I thought the block of the night was pretty low for NBA. Though that being said Nba loves humiliating less known players and babying superstars
Damn that was funny, but he gives maximum effort every night and I can't hate it...Damn, that was funny though
lol tonaayyyy was actually correct when he said von wafer is better than t-mac, we need t-mac for scoring, but all he does is sit around and shoot and then play little-to-no defense, at least von attempts to play defense and he's a great dunker, idk how he got hung on that baseline dunk lawlz. --coming from a t-mac fan.
This kid should get more minutes; the Rockets may have found themselves one of those rare diamonds in the ruff. I hope so.
