    dude. sorry to put it to you like this, but VW is AUDI. THE VW GROUP oversee's AUDI product development.

    Have you heard of platform sharing? I'm not trying to talk VW up or Audi down, but they share platforms and similar parts.

    I've driven both long enough to know that they are similar.

    The higher end AUDI do differentiate themselves more (S4,RS4,A6,S6,RS6,ect), but the similar engineering goes into both.

    but don't worry man. dont' get your nuts in a blender. YOUR S4 IS BADAS$.

    So let me ask you this, which one is more nicer?

    If you have only two choice, would you rather have a VW or AUDI, let's pretent that there's no price difference?

    Oh, a fully loaded Accord EX V6 might be similar experience to a TL, but what if it compare to the fully loaded TL????

    In your mind, walmart clothing is just the same as Gucci clothing for a women, that's fine, there's always people think like this.

    BTW, I would choose an AUDI A4 over any VW model, A4 is superior than any VW models.

    I call bull****. You sound like a kid that wants to talk about their awesome car that they don't have. I venture to guess that you are under the age of 21 and cannot afford a $50k car. This is just going by your posts alone.

    DUDE, AUDI's are nicer. In fact after I pay off my GTI, I am planning on trading it in for a S3 or an A4.

    i'd choose an audi any day over VW...besides the new upcoming GTI R32 V.

    But do I have 38k to blow on a car?? At the time I bought my GTI, I didn't and it's not like I have that kind of money laying around now either (thats what financing is for :p)

    I AM NOT saying audi's aren't nice. I think they're nice cars and have come a long way in creating a unique niche in a crowded market, but they do share platforms with its big brother VW.

    now pull your nuts out of the grinder and stop crying. you have a $60k car, ...oh wait, "YOU GOT A S4"....psshh

    OK, way back in the 90s, we owned many of those VW, but just years ago, we brought our first AUDI A4, and this year, we decide to to brought a new S4, and yes, I'm in the 20s, and yes, I do act like a kid, but the car is there for me to drive anytime I want it, anyway I want it, anywhere I want it to,
    even though my dad brought the car, but it's just the same as mine, well, it's just the way it is, it's the asian culture.

    Anyway, honda is acura, toyota is lexus, walmart clothing is high end clothing, bill gate is Clinton, JVD is Phil Jackson, and Yao is Bradly, whatever........

    What I'm trying to say is, back in the early 80s and 90s in China, cars are so much more expensive than the U.S. price is just redicoulous, it's like paying 35K for a Toyota back in the 90s, and 150K for a benz.

    Hell, just couple years ago, I think it's 2000 or 2001, my uncle brought a VW for 40k in China.

    What I trying to say is what you though might be true or not true, expensive or not expensive, good or bad, it's different for everybody. You might say that VW are not reliable, but there's always somebody on the other side that will say they'er reliable.

    That's it for today, I'm out..to...gamble......sports betting...(I could even make a nice living betting on sports)

    You're out to gamble? The fact that you look at gambling as a way to make a living speaks volumes about your maturity.

    By the way, I do know what you mean about Toyotas and Hondas being ridiculously expensive(I don't know about $50-80 K though). The reason for that is because a lot of countries charge insane tax amounts to bring cars in.

    I looked at Audis when I was buying my car and one option you might consider is buying an A4 demo. At Boardwalk Audi in Plano, they had quite a few fully loaded A4's for $28,900. They had anywhere from 5000-6000 miles And they were warrantied for 6 years/ 100K.

    ROFL. So what if Audi is owned by VW? You DO know that Porsche is also owned by VW, right? (Gee, I wonder if the fact that the VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne have the same exact body chassis gave it away?) Do loads of people complain about Porsche?

    Porsche has a 18.53% controlling stake in the VW Group

    Code:
    Brands

    The company owns seven brands, which are organized into two groups or branches.

    The Audi branch consists of

        * Audi (D)
        * Lamborghini (I)
        * SEAT (E)

    The Volkswagen branch consists of

        * Volkswagen (D)
        * Bentley (GB)
        * Škoda (CZ)
        * Bugatti (F)

    These brands have been discontinued by VW:

        * Auto Union
        * DKW
        * Horch
        * NSU

    Yan Yao came to American recently or is probally a resident of China. Give the man a break, he wasn't born and raised here. No need to make fun of his grammar. Secondly when he said 50-80k, he meant the Chinese money in terms of Yuan. That would be the equivalent of $6-10k U.S.

    China has a 200% tax on most/all their vehicles. This means a vehicle that costs us $20k U.S. would cost them approx. $35-40k U.S.

    Yan_Yao, when he said they share the same platform. He means they might share the same chasis, motor, window regulator, tranny or blah blah blah. Which means some of the parts used on VW vehicles are the same ones used in Audi vehicles. By doing this, they save alot of money and recoup the cost on R&D/manufacturing quicker. Nissan is notorious for doing this. Most of their vehicles have the same motor....probally the same tranny too.

    Thank you, Brother Fat. When I said 50-80K, I meant the U.S money instead of Chinese money, back in the 80s and 90s in China, there's no way in the world that you can buy a nice Toyota or Honda for 10K, it's more like 36k-40K and up...

    Just two years ago, one of my relative brought a brand new Toyota Avalon for up to 400K Yuan, convert that into U.S money today, it's over 50K.

    I understand what they mean, but it bothers me when they said VW IS AUDI, VW IS NOT AUDI, AUDI IS NOT VW, it's just like saying YAO IS BRADLY, AND MOOCHIE IS AI.

    If you said the 80's and 90's in the first place we wouldn't be confused O_O

    Off Topic - I think China lifted the 200% tax on small/subcompact vehicles to increase vehicle ownership. I know you can buy a Honda Fit in China for 90k RMB. Thats cheap compared to what we're paying here $14-$16k USD. I think the Fit they sell in China might be a bare bones version which would explain why its cheaper.
