A guy I work with is going to Houston for a technology convention in a couple of weeks and is staying at Wyndham Hotel on 12400 Greenspoint Drive and wanted me to ask y'all for some information on the area like what to do, where to eat, yada yada yada...He also wanted to know if there's a Krisy Kreme donut place in the area. :)

Any information would be greatly appreciated...

First of all, you need to check out the new McDonalds, 6-7 blocks up the road. They have a new waterslide.

12000 Greenspoint...that's out there... like, near the freakin airport, right? where's the convention? if it's downtown at the George R. Brown, there are tons of things to do and places to eat... as far as out on Greenspoint, not sure, except for a few breast lounges, strip malls and fast food places.

If the convention is downtown, he should try to eat Irma's on Chenevert St. (the original location, not the new Southwest Cuisine restaurant) they have a verbal menu that changes daily, very good, be sure to order the 'lemonade' not always lemon, mostly fresh fruit juices.. good stuff. Mexican food, open for lunch only, weekdays.

The Original Ninfa's on Navigation is near the George R. Brown Convention Center. Really good mexican food and margaritas. I recommend the enchiladas al carbon with beef fajita meat! Oh yeah! This is the ONLY Ninfa's I eat at, the other chain locations aren't as good, IMO. Open 7 days a week.

We have some great museums, shopping and various other touristy things... good luck.

do a search for Houston, TX on Google or Yahoo and see what comes up!

Tell him to find Pacific Street.
There is LOADS of fun there.
Bars such as J.R.'s, Montrose Mining Company and the RipCord are a hoot!
