not saying metcalf was better, so don't jump on me. but what he did was more impressive imho, because he was ut's whole offense.

Of course is speculation, but I'll bet it is true. The best college coaches built schemes around players. If you have VY you build your scheme around him. Bush is a great player, but he doesn't touch the ball enough to build a scheme around.

Woodson should not have won the award, I think Peyton Manning was playing the same time. Woodson was a great college player, but no way did he have the impact as Manning. You just can't as a DB who gets occasional offensive touches. Woodson got it because Michigan had a media machine and great season, and made a few spectacular plays, but he was not the best or most dominant college football player.

It is possible Bush could be a Faulk, and I brought up the comparison, but unlike him Bush has never had to carry a load, nor had to earn his yards between the tackles as he already shown (as did Barry S and Tony D who you might draw comparisons as well), and what pro defense will make RBs do. Bush doesn't even touch the ball 20 times every game in college, that is a lot different than 25-30 touches in the pros like Faulk (or Barry S) was able to do.

Westbrook is better than you think. Bush can put on the muscle, but then that elusiveness that makes him special may go. Bush hasn't had to deal with fast good college defenses, let alone pro defenses. Bush isn't a sure thing as an every play, workhorse, pro RB, the only kind of rb I'd spend an #1 overall pick on.

Ramonce is a very talented player, but he isn't a running back. He's got unbelievable speed and nice moves, but he is also quite small and doesn't run between the tackles. For the RoseBowl, I think Charles should get the start, USC's pass defense isn't all that great, adding Ramonce along w/ Sweed, Pittman, and Thomas, VY will have a lot more to choose from.

um, then what does that make you, considering that you put on the t-shirt of UT's opponent each and every week?

Sam, I've asked you this before, but you've seemed to skirt the issue. Who do you cheer for, Sam?

My current school of choice: Fairtex Muay Thai

Go Yodsaenklai, a big fight versus John Wayne Parr tonight in Sydney.

A badass fighter and a nice kid to boot.

I imagine a link was intended?

In other news, Yodsaenklai wins by decision even though he's on the road, adds the 154 lb world title to his collection.

    Now First String All-American QB...

    ....hmmmm....

...it looks like a lot of people in the know seem to believe that Vince is a better QB than Leinart.

Guess they just haven't been reading our local authorities here.

    ;)
