Cap issue?????? I think we're over the cap already anyway, plus I believe Vince is playing on a max contract.

Only way Rox can acquire him without letting go of any significant talent is a buyout scenario - a la Steve Francis.

eh, in theory they won't trade him away, but if he "gets hurt" (in other words, decides he's injured, and doesn't wanna play, in the midst of the nets rebuilding) OR demands a trade, its a totally different story.

lol @ those who mocked the OP. true, we may not NEED carter, but it would be nice insurance to have. he'll probably get traded elsewhere, anyways, like miami, or something. just a hunch.

id rather trade for adam morrison. bobcats need some frontcourt help (PF) and a 3rd string point guard as stated by larry brown. they also say they have a glut of wing players.

we have extra players at both positions and im intrigued with morrison's potential.

he will be a good option as backup SG if he does recover from his surgery. between now and 2010, we can develop him in case tmac decides to retire or if rockets and tmac decides to go their separate ways.

Salaries won't match unless he is bought out or the Rockets give up a major valuable asset. I don't see either one happening.

It would be nice to have him, but its unnecessary. You cant ever have too many scorers.

seriously leave VC alone i wouldnt want him to be a rocket. VC could have been the greatest offensive guard i had seen since Jordan he had that much natural talent and athleticism but he didnt have the same drive. he is a still a good player but we have the pieces in place now lets let the coaches and players work it out for themselves before we all play PC GM and try to make trades for the sake of names and seeing cousins play with each other again.

i actually enjoy watching carter play...as long as he isnt in the rockets jersey
