This one may be a long shot, but the nets are clearly rebuilding, looking for young players. Obviously we wouldn't give up any of our main guys, but perhaps, give up Head, Harris, Hayes, even, lol, and whoever else that's expendable, and maybe we could have a Mr. Vince Carter on our squad. There's definitely some unappealing things about him, but man would we have some firepower!! (artest, carter, mcgrady yao). wow.

    Uhhh... no.
    Aint happenin my friend.
Dont even want it to happen actually, im very happy with how our team is built atm. All we should be looking for now is a 7 footer to back up Yao.

Carter is thrash. all he does is pad his stats and sulk. he is'nt in his athletic prime anymore. hardly a great shooter.his asset is his ability to score by jumping all over people. in a years time that'l be gone.if were going after a ball hog who makes noone better and is a cancer then i rather go after iverson.

You really don't watch Vince Carter do you? He is a fantastic passer, scorer, rebounder and when he is healthy he is very dangerous in the open floor......

He is far, far from a ballhog.............

Watch a guy play a little bit before you critique him like that......

I'm fully satisfied with our talent we have now and I don't think VC can boost our team a little bit. We have two great swings in tmac and ron, and VC seems unnecessary. Besides, Hayes luther and harris are far from enough to trade for VC, at least we must match Carter's 15m worth salary before offering the trading proposal to Mr Stern. Then, if we take VC, we would have to give them ron or Shanenrafer's package. Would you like to trade Ron for VC, or will you trade Shanenrafer's package for VC? I bet not. Ron is no less than VC while earning a much less salary, and neither rafer nor shane is unnecessary for our team. Then is carter walking to houston? hopelessly. More importantly, Nets still need carter to attract fans to their gym to guarantee their tickets income, so they will never trade their only franchise player and blue dog as well unless you offer them another blue dog like tmac or yao. Noway will morey trade tmac or yao, simmilarly no way will nets trade VC for a package of role players.

We already have enough ammo. We don't need Carter and his salary. Better to build on the Big 3 and develop some youngsters than take in another veteran star past his prime.

I always believe in a theory where a team with too much talent will be no better than a team with no talent. Nuggets is a fine example, but perhaps its just because the coach sucks. A team with as much talent as the Nuggets should be competing for top seed in the west, and when I'm saying this I mean before the horrible decision of losing their best defender.

i would say sure but there is 1 small problem......the fact he makes like 20 mil this year! All our young guys will not add up to his price.

I considered him before the Artest deal went down. Now there's no need and a deal to bring him to Houston isn't even feasible in the first place.

The guy is a cancer. he thinks he is above the team. here he would be the 4th best player and he would pout like he does everywhere.yes he is a fanatastic scorer, but on a crappy nets where he gets ton of shots. tmac was a fantastic scorer in orlando. whoopdeedo.he is hardly a fantastic rebounder. sure he can throw a few fancy passes, but every tom and dick and harry knows he is a ball hog.

I should add he did tone it down last season. he did try to involve his teammates more. so maybe i shouldnt call him a ball hog anymore. he was during his early and mid years. but i still stand by the cancer comments. wouldnt touch him with a ten foot pole.

    McGrady>>>Vince
    Yao>>Vince
    Artest>Vince
He also makes 16 million a year on a multi year deal.
