Surprised there isn't a real thread on this game. Came out today. There's a deal right now for Xbox 360 and PS3 for $45. Xbox 360: http://www.ebay.com/itm/38070650473...5335869999&campid=5335869999&afepn=5335869999 PS3: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Madden-NFL-...5335869999&campid=5335869999&afepn=5335869999 The Xbox 360 version is also eligible for the Amazon trade in promotion to upgrade to Madden 25 for the Xbox One for $10 (it would be $5 if you get this $45 deal). http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1001343501 I probably won't get around to playing it till next week, but it would be nice to get some feedback on the game itself from anyone that has it already or anyone that is going to get it.
I'll be skipping it this year after how awful franchise mode was last year. From my understanding it is mostly the same system with a couple new "owner" functions tacked on. And the new modifier button sounds kinda pointless. And from reviews I've read, I really feel like this version was a punt. They are probably putting more development resources into working on the next-gen version... and even then, transition years tend to be bad for sports games. I'll get the next-gen version next year.
Madden is a yearly thing for me...but might have to pass on it this year. The only game Im getting for this gen is GTAV. I might get Madden 25 for the XB1 if I get the itch, but more likely than not, I'll be waiting until next season.
madden 13 was different from madden 12, completely new physics engine.. however madden 25 seems like the same exact game with some new animations..
The First PS3 Madden had a split second delay for all of the commands. It made playing it impossible.
Just got done playing it and..... Eh. It was the sane as last year except with more delay before plays. Kinda disappointed to be honest.
I saw a commercial for it and the graphics looked terrible compared to 2k13. I dont play madden i was just shocked the graphics weren't better.
I've been playing NCAA 14 and the improvements this year are subtle in every aspect of game play and very satisfying for the most part, especially rushing the ball. Been playing Ultimate Team just so I could play as Barry Sanders, and dammit, this iteration of the game is the closest thing to playing as him, ever.
Usually when the game feels the same it's better. It gives the developers more time to focus on gameplay. One of the achilles' heels for EA's sports games has been the time they dedicate to pee-pee game modes that nobody plays. It's all about adding to the feature list and not gameplay. I got NCAA. It's the same game it has been the past 2 years. It's also the best NCAA on this gen of consoles. I will probably skip Madden 25 because I'm waiting on PS4 and the first port of the previous gen's sports titles are always beyond terrible.
Yeah. Funny how EA Sports changed their mind. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/rejection-tragedy-and-billions-of-dollars-the-story-of-fifa/0120299 PLEASE EA, put some effort into Madden. The commentary is the worst part about the game. Too robotic and puts me to sleep.
God I miss football games. Make another All-Pro Football, 2K! PLEASE! (or at least put the damned server back up)
Bought madden 13 last year and played a total of around 10 times. Probably won't be picking this one up
Too bad they can't make any more NFL 2K games because Madden would have gone in the same router the NBA Live series did.
Pass. Madden 13 was ok, but I never even got a chance to make it through an entire season. From what I've read, importing draft classes is still messed up so that kills about the only thing that would have maybe pushed me into buying this year's NCAA and Madden games.
