That, and I think this same magazine mentioned ZOE3 (for PS3) as a fact last year (and that never resurfaced...yet ). Guess we'll find out somewhat soon (may even be addressed in the next podcast). More Surfer Girl! I'm too lazy to quote things from her comments sections, which is where she posts more "rumors" based on questions from readers. I think any major things she "revealed" there are now part of these blog updates though (like the Crysis or Baldur's Gate 3 stuff).
does anyone know when the 2K's MLB 1st party exclusive deal expires? 2k baseball sucks. I'm waiting for MVP to comeback....
Wikipedia says it runs through Spring 2012. You should check out MLB The Show, which is a nice alternative to MVP (better IMO from what I remember, but I'm sure opinions differ). Certainly wouldn't mind MVP coming back due to the extra competition though, especially on non-Sony platforms. For some reason, $299 360/PS3 rumors are spreading around, even though neither make a lot of sense (although the 360 one makes a lot more sense than the PS3 one).

There was also a claim that in the bluray.com forum, someone was said that Warner is pressuring Sony into dropping the price of the console (maybe part of their exclusivity agreement) but I have not been able to find that thread. A 100$ price drop is pretty steep. It has seemed that Sony has decided to ride the 40 gig sku out for a while. They seem to have confidence in it. I read about the origins of the rumor; I just don't know why people are bothering to put much stock into it (IOW, posting it on multiple forums). Seemed like just some guy making up stuff, possibly confused about what was being posted ($299 deal for mangers or for people using the Sony credit card). Maybe I'm wrong though. The only thing that leads me to believe this could even be remotely true is the arrival of the white PS3 SKU. The 360 rumor wasn't much better from what I could tell, although at least it made more sense.

I used to be somewhat interested in Haze, but these delays and horrible advertising by Ubisoft have pretty much killed my interest in the game. I guess its better that they didn't release a bug-filled mess though. 2009 for GOW3 makes sense. GOW2 barely came out last year, and they have a new console to develop for now. Unless part of the team was working on GOW3 prior to the release of GOW2 and/or they were willing to make compromises to the game, I couldn't really see how it could come out in 2008. 2009 shouldn't even be a sure bet, especially since GOW3 will be epic (or so it seems). I'd love to be wrong though.
$299 is the sweet spot for the PS3 and sales would explode. It would guarantee one in our home in a hurry.

You and me both. It's never been said enough...EA should have gotten the rights baseball and 2K the rights to football...either that or there shouldn't have been any of this exclusive right bs in the first place.
I'm sure it would, but I doubt it is happening anytime soon. Guessing it will definitely happen sometime this year though. These are old screens from an early version of the game, so that's why the graphics look horrible (no, they're not from the Wii version ). Not sure what the point is since everything is so early, but I can't complain.

hard drive prices consistently fall. i bet their going to replace it with a 120 gig. maybe a year later, 160 gig etc etc. they have no incentive to stick with a smaller hard drive when they can get a larger one for the same price or less than what it cost for the smaller hard drive six months ago.
the Devil May Cry dialogue is really really corny. the graphics are nice, the 5.1 surround is nice too. the combo system is kinda weak compared to Ninja Gaiden. I only played one DMC and that was the 1st one on PS2. I got stuck at one point and ended up running around the map not knowing where to go.
