"See, that's good sportsmanship right there."

    Uh... yeah.

    See, kiddies?

This is why you don't act like an idiot.

The biggest mistake by the victim was when Kimbo let the him punch him square in the face on purpose and he barely flinched -- that's a pretty big warning sign that you're in a fight with the wrong guy.

I think the biggest mistake is fighting for entertainment.

Fighting is meant to inflict serious pain on another, with the threat of that serious pain coming back on you, and should be reserved for times when one or both parties merits that abuse.

With that said, yes, the guy should have walked away as soon as he saw that an unblocked, full-force punch didn't even phase Kimbo.

Also, I have Winamp, and it won't let me replay the video, and anytime I try to fast forward, it just cuts off.

Can someone explain that last shot of the guy's face for me? It looked like his eye was hanging out of his face.

    I noticed that too.

I remember reading an account from one of the fighters in hockey. One guy said that when he hit Tie Dome (which is an acronym for 'me idiot') with his best punch, Tie smiled. He then knew he was in trouble!

Damnnnn, that was ruthless. That other guy's only hope would have been to get him on the ground - he was a good puncher.

When that guy let him punch him, he didn't even hit him clean, a clean hit through the face or eye and that fight evens out.

The stupid thing is that the smaller guy would've done some damage but decide to fight like a boxer. HOw stupid. A real fighter doesn't really fight like that when his/her life's on the line.

Actually, I would say it was the opposite, Kimbo looked like he had some boxing training, his punches were short and straight and his defense was good; the other guy looked like a total amateur, tossing up telegraphed, off balance hay makers and getting counterpunched and dropped like a sack, and his technique when he did land obviously was lousy as his free shots had no effect.

I don't think his problem was in choosing to fight like a boxer -- he actually fought A boxer, in what amounted to a bareknuckles boxing match.

    Bad move!

I've seen this video before, from what I've heard he's a bodyguard for a p*rn star or something to that extent.

This guy is rapidly becoming an internet legend, check this info I found (probably b.s.)

Kimbo, cousin of Emmanuel Augustus, is a badass Miami enforcer who fights for purses of 3-5 gs on a regular basis. He'll put up his money up against yours to find out who is superior. He doesn't care if it's at your place of work or in your own backyard. If you're willing to put up the dough, he'll fight you for it. In the clip below he attempts to earn more green by going heads up against another stocky brawler named Byrd.

For those of you who don't know the full story behind that video, here goes.

Kimbo Slice (amazingly that's his last name) is an ex-con who did ten years of hard time but was finally released about 10 months ago. He fights in underground boxing matches from time to time winning purses that range from 3-10 thousand gs. This year alone, he's 9-1. His lone loss was suffered when his opponent used mace. Kimbo acknowledges the loss because he says, "I shoulda kicked his ass much faster and knocked the ***** out cold. And before the fight we said no weapons, but didn't say no mace."

Backed by the owner of a popular Miami based p*rn website, Kimbo earned his first 10 thousand dollar purse when he knocked out that same opponent in a rematch. The bout took but a mere 10 seconds. Not taking any chances, Kimbo pounced on his opponent 5 times after he was out cold.

Kimbo is well aware that underground fighting is illegal but he cannot help it. He can't earn a decent living through legit means because of his prison track record. If you were a big bad ass in his situation and someone came up to you and said, "I know someone who will fight you for 10 grand heads up", you might consider it also.

Kimbo is now considering turning pro through the advice of his cousin, Emmanuel Augustus, and local boxing trainers in Miami. Once he turns pro, he will leave his underground fighting days behind. As he contemplates the countless possibilities, Kimbo will continue to fight in underground battles to provide for himself and his disabled mother. As Kimbo so eloquently put it, "That's how a ***** eat."

If you know any non-pro who is willing to wager 5-10 gs to go up against kimbo, email his manager at kimboslice@hotmail.com

Ah, shouldn't he be back in jail right now for doing something this illegal? There's even proof. I think this is just a publicity stunt to get him known. I have no doubt he's tough. By the way how old is the guy?

Like I've said earlier if he wants to make some money, why don't he go into Ultimate Fighting? It's more money and much safer. But seriously, he'll get his ass kick in by those guys in an almost real fight. Guessed he's more a boxer.
