ariza needs to relax. it's not like he hasn't had bad games before. we don't need the rockets to be associated with dirty players. hopefully, it's just a one-time thing.

Now since everyone has seen it, how many games do you think he deserves?

One??? Two??? Do you think he has any chance to get zero???

Man how much more cowardly would it have been if he actually connected? The guy was already dribbling the other way, wouldn't have seen it coming.

more than one. dwight howard got suspended one game in the PLAYOFFS last year for swinging his elbow after a rebound, and it wasn't even as intentional as this i don't believe.

and dwight howard is a star in this league. trevor ariza will get a minimum if one game, if not more. if ariza apologized after the play, he might have gotten some leniency. the fact that he didn't could hurt his case even more.

    Hadn't seen the play before.

That was DIRTY. Ariza should be embarrassed and ashamed for letting his emotions take over like that. Luckily he didn't connect or else things would have been bad.

I hope he is rightfully punished.

He'll get 2 i think. And its deserved. The guy needs to calm down and realize his role on this team. He might not be the star everyone was thinking of. I'd be glad if he would turn out to be a Battier replacement, and I don't expect anything else.

It didn't look like there was anything in it. Frankly it looked more like he was swinging at air, not really looking to connect, out of frustration. The commentators were blowing it out of proportion IMO.

Well... Ariza made a mistake.... everyone makes mistakes... Let's just hope it's not a continuing trend. I'd much rather have Ariza than Ron Artest.

Your right t_mac1, I think Adelman will play McGrady if he is indeed suspended say 2 games. McGrady can play 15-25 minutes off the bench both games if needed...

He'll start off the bench.. but Adelman better put McGrady in the starting lineup after 2 or 3 games.

He was INCHES away from hitting the back of Derozan's head. It definitely looked like he intended to hit something. IMO.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt I don't think he was expecting DeRozan's head to be there. DeRozan's head was momentarily at that level from recovering the ball.
