Rock, Your post was dead on. I was in Chi during the Bulls run. They knew that I loved the Rox to death. We interviewed Max before the game and he was hyped. He and MJ got into it. MJ backed down and the Rox won. It would have been great to see them in The Finals. MJ was scared of Max, but respected the hell out of him. MJ loved that Max didn't get caught up in the Jordan Hype. I tell Bull fans that all of those rings are bogus! They never went through the H to get a ring! The year that the Rox sent MJ an invitation to Broom Party, he declined and let Shaq receive the Broom! The Bulls never swept a team in the Finals!
I used to use Maxx as a point to my son -- that he and Jordan were similarly talented early in their careers. Look what MJ did with his, look what Maxx did... the path taken is the path chosen. Maxwell has also been bankrupt, kept from his family onandonandon. Quite the shame.
Well...to me it sounds like V-max, who probably always a has a little weed on him, got in a fight with his 16 year old son due largely in part to his notorious temper problem. God I miss Vernon.
