Ummmmmmm .......yeah. I dont know about Jeff, but if one is not a big meat eater, this is not the place for you.

Do you know that all they season their meat with is salt and pepper?

A friend told me the biggest dump he ever had to take was after a trip to Fogo de Chao. Not sure if that's something you want to worry about on Valentine's Day unless you're at that point with the person you're taking.

Take your significant other to the Rockets game on 2/14, and get there early so you can both get a Steve Francis celebriduck. Of course I may be single after Valentines Day for this idea, but at least I'll get to see the Rockets game live that night.

Well, then I'm an amatuer expert wannabe apprentice. I just saw filet mignon (pronounced fil-lay MIG-NON, right? :p), sirloin, tenderloin, and started salivating.

Actually, I was going by Buck88's post and found Brennan's online menu. It seems to be cajun, but they do have fillay migg-nawn on their menu.

But Brenner's, Rainbow, and Fogo sound good, too, so I'll add them to my shopping list.

    Gee thanks, chainsaw.

Is there a dress code at Fogo de Chao's?

How about Trulucks? I've never been there, but figured it was an "expensive" place, "expensive" as in "good place to go on Valentine's Day." Anyone ever been to Trulucks for Valentine's Day?

    Fogo de Chao:

    3 words come to mind.

    Oh. My. God.

That is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at, and it will be my annual birthday place now.

    Drooling just thinking about it.

No dress code, just learn that green means go and red means stop(pit stops are needed). :p

Id say there is "somewhat" of a dress code. Not a good idea to show up in sweats and sandles, although, they probably wouldn't ask you to leave or anything.

You could probably get away with jeans and a decent shirt (i.e. no NASCAR t-shirts). In fact, I believe I wore jeans and a button up shirt last time and didnt feel out of place.

Good rule of thumb when picking attire for a restaruant: Make sure you wear an outfit that cost more than your meal will. :D

I know Codell :). I just love that place. My sister took me for my birthday last June and I fell in love. The meat is so juicy, tender and delicious, nice salad bar too. And you can eat as much as you want :). It's like the kitchen of the male version of heaven, isn't it ;).

To avoid the rush, my gf and I had our Valentine's Day dinner last night (Thursday) at Fogo's. We dressed up, but we did see people in jeans and tennis shoes in the buffet line.

If you don't like meat, and I'm talkin truckloads of meat, then don't go to Fogo's.

I still have a meat hangover today from eating so much friggin meat.

Overall, all the meats tasted pretty good. My favorties were the filet mignon and the "picanha."

Not bad, but I've had better ribs once at a friend's backyard BBQ, and the filet mignon and picanha were good, but not quite as good as Olive Garden's Tuscan T-bone.
