Where are you from and what do you have planned?

I'm in Austin(still fairly new here) and am thinking about taking my date to a comedy show then either going out to dinner or possibly cooking dinner at my place, but that all sounds kinda boring(save the comedy show). Any suggestions?? I wouldn't mind going out near the lake, but don't want to go to The Oasis.

I'm in Austin. Dinner reservations at 6:30 PM at Dan McKluskey's on 6th. Wanted the Cool River Cafe, but was all booked when I called on Monday.

RocketsPimp, I would seriously advise against Oasis. The food absolutely sucks, and you'll be waiting all night for a table. By then there won't be much of a clear view, anyways. Oasis is overrated. Some suggestions:

You can never go wrong with cooking dinner. Girls love that stuff. Just make sure it's good. Oh ya, make sure you give her some sweet loving at the end of the night. Don't forget flowers and a card....but hey, what am I telling you for, you're the pimp, right?

Gotta echo the sentiments on the Oasis. It's worth doing once, but probably not tonight. I'd go with cooking dinner as well, she'll love it.

:( I'm away from RM95's Girl until tomorrow. Luckily, we're not buying presents for each other though!!

I've already posted this, but last year, Lynus made me a picnic and we went out to the Water Wall in Houston on Saturday or Sunday after Valentine's Day. It was really sweet, romantic and just lots of fun. And it showed that he really cared and was paying attention.

This year he called me. That's the extent of my plans. I'm going to my aunt's later to start my quilt.

We'll do Valentine's as soon as he comes home. And I'm sure you'll hear about it, whatever it ends up being!

Girls do love it when you cook for them. If you want to go out, try to think of someplace signifcant to you or her or someplace that she's mentioned really wanting to go to. Anything that shows you've been listening to her. Good luck!

(P.S.-As far as flowers go, red roses are always nice, pretty, and traditional. But sometimes, it's better when a guy gives you something different. My roommate got a beautiful bouquet of lilies and red tulips. Lynus gave me 2 dozen pink roses before he left, because pink is my favorite color. Again, it just shows that you put a little more thought into it)

My wife and I have elected to celebrate Valentine's Day on Saturday...mostly because we have a 2 year old son and that's when he can go spend the night with my mom and dad!

We're staying at a very nice hotel in the Galleria area...talking about going to eat downtown somewhere...plus, there's a jewelry surprise she isn't aware of yet!! I'm pumped about surprising her, because it's not easy to do!! I swear, when it comes to that she's like one of Dionne Warwick's psychic friends!

Ditto on the food sucking at the Oasis.

Impress the pants off of her (literally) and cook dinner for her.

    Is this your Dallas girl?

Yep, that's the one. I asked her a couple of days ago if there was anything she's been wanting to do and she said me :D I can hear the g-string dropping already!! She should be on her way back into town now and she's going shopping(uh-oh...I should probably go get her something just in case) with one of her girlfriends. We're supposed to hook up around 9, so that pretty much eliminates the comedy club which opens at 8. Looks like I better start planning this dinner.

My wife and I absolutely suck at holidays. We always end up having a horrible time on Valentine's Day, our anniversary, whatever. So, we usually make a pact to enjoy all the days in between and treat the holidays just like another day. :)

Oscar's Creamery RULES!!! If you want another that is just as good, go to Amy's on Shepherd just north of 59. It's right next to Le Peep and across the street from the 59 Diner.

There are several Oscar's around. There's one on Kirby I've been to a few times. :)

    MMmmmmmmm....ice cream....

Yes, the Oscars creamery was excellent, the chick that gave us the ice cream short changed me though, and she also gave DM A LOT of ice cream.

I've bought 3 things at crossroads now...

I got a cool cd holder thing with naked chicks on it, and some food, and a card...

I work at a Kroger, and I was helping the Floral department out. Holy **** that was crazy. I was working from 2-10 pm. I was working non stop. My back aches. My hands are freezing and numb, but I had fun. I can't wait for mother's day if I still work there.
