Vacation plans this summer?

I'm gonna try and take a one week or so trip to Magnolia, Texas. God's Country.

 

I had a co worker a while back, he is close to 50 and never been on a plane. He said he could never trust the planes, so he drives, like that is really much safer.

 

A week at the Bellagio in Vegas.

 

Isn't every country God's country?

Summerfest in Milwaukee and taste of Chicago in late june.

 

I'm pretty excited. My wife and I honeymooned there and had a blast. I thought about trying one of the other hotels...and ALMOST booked the new Wynn, but I want to go check it out before I book an entire week there.

If we go there and dig it, we might tranfer over there for a night or two at the end of our week.

 

caveman. is it just me, or is this freaking amazing that youve never been on an plane?

 

I think I am going to do the Utah (Bryce, Zion, Canyonlands) and Arizona National Park loop, maybe with a stop at Big Bend.

I'd also like to do Ecuador/Peru, but my wife isn't that big on flying either, and she's flown with me for weekend vacations twice in the past few months, so probably a car trip this summer. But next year, international trip for sure...international travel is so interesting in that unless you heap out tons and tons of cash, you never know what you're going to get or see, which is part of the adventure.

I'm spending a month on Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA. I can't wait.

 

My wife has to go to a conference in June. I'm taking a week and a half off during that time to paint a few rooms, hopefully put in a new driveway and put away a few beers. Not really a vacation, but close enough for me.

But for real... I'm gonna get to go to Tokyo, Beijing for work for 2 weeks... I dont know if that will be a Vacation though, I dont travel well..

 

Now that's a good friend.

 

Especially if you sit next to a really really fat person.

 

Have fun. Disney World is great. I love that place. I would go every year if it wasn't so expensive.

I don't know if I will have any time off this summer or not. If I do, I might just try surf as much as possible close to home. I might go Texas for some time, and I probably will get at least one camping trip in. I doubt I will do anything major.

 

I'm taking a mini next weekend--an overnight tuna fishing trip out of Venice Lousiana with the night before and the night after in NOLA.

I'm taking another mini next month with a three day trip to Vegas (about enough for me)

And then I'm taking a week the first part of July to do the Willamette, Napa, and Sonoma valley's. Two nights at the Westin in Portland, then two nights here:

When we stay at the tu tu tun lodge, we're gonna take a 104 mile jet boat trip up the rogue river.

Needless to say......I'm pumped. Me likey vacation.

 

I'll be in the LA area for a couple of weeks in late August/early September.

Hoping to extend the holiday a fair bit beyond that....
