If either of you live in CHL state, you shouldn't go out much. CHL holders are a significant portion of society now, and you run into them every day.
Amending the constitution is a process provided by law. If you amend the constitution, the law changes. Therefore, your objection is not logically valid.
I think the real debate here is a fundamental one of self defense. People do not wish to fight back for some reason.
Yes, but if the country gets stirred up enough where the silent majority force their elected officials to make that amendment, it will happen. DD
Control of a mechanical device or a person? To clarify my question: Do you feel unsafe from an accidental mechanical failure, or a person legally carrying a gun with a CHL commiting a violent crime against you. Thanks.
No, people don't want guns going everywhere, we're sorry that we're not looking for handgun duels every afternoon. ...Seriously, is it better to have one school shooting? A tragic and unpredictable one? Or hundreds of school shootings, utterly predictable because you're giving out guns to people for "self-defense". Yeesh.
Please quote me where I am giving out guns. Thanks Also while you are looking that up find some stats to backup that people with CHL's commit more violent crimes than people without them.
Well, either that, or they don't want to have a higher risk of being a victim of random crime that is more likely to occur when there are more guns everywhere. Crazy that people might like to stay alive!
I guess we shall see........and if not than I am willing to exept what the majority wants, are you? DD
Dude, you're implying it everywhere, look at your posts. Either you express yourself badly or we're just not understanding each other. "Your reaction to my need to carry a gun." "Good idea. An armed citizen could have cut this to little to no loss of life." "Take away a gun from someone willing to stop a psycho and more people die." "How do you fight fire? With your hands? Screw that. My logic is the majority of people like you and me would stop this dip**** by any means needed. Why take that power out of our hands." I mean, I'd go on, but your posts pretty much are all self-explanitory.
Everything. How many of these college kids will have roommates etc? Will these guns start showing up more at parties? It's not as simple as "I have a gun and you don't". I don't care how many classes a person has or how great of a shot he is. The complexities are immeasurable. The chaos theory comes to mind (unpredictability in complex systems).
Which one of these implies im giving out guns? I must have missed it. I am talking about allowing people who have guns and a CHL to carry them.
