I think we have to acknowledge they could be a top 4 seed this year if injuries don't bite them. The good start is fine but still I want to see how they react after losing 3-4 in a row. My guess is they will regroup and handle it well.

It physically pains me to see them do well but Sloan is a class coach so props to him.

Good thing they aren't in our division.

I hate to say it, but you can pretty much chisel in the Utah Jazz with a top 4 seed right now. The rest of the Northworst is mediocre, at best.

Jerry Sloan gotta love this team. It's not just the Jazz wins again over the Kings for a 11-1 record. In the last three games, the Jazz has battled back double digit deficits in the 2nd half to get the win. The Jazz is a fighter, no choker.

The jazz is like the opposite of the rockets... they outscore the Kings by like +20 in the fourth quarter... I wish jerry sloan is our coach...

Utah Jazz is unbeatable. All their recent wins were the 4th quarter comebacks. It's unbelievable. I'm sure nobody would think they are soooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooood. If you look back, the Rockets loss to the Jazz ain't that horrible. Can't wait to see they play against Spurs.

I watched the box score all evening until mid 3rd quarter and just assumed the Kings were going to knock them off. Just saw the Jazz pummeled them 39-17 in the 4th quarter. Looks like Kirilenko isn't that important to them, at least for now. That guy needs to shut up, quit complaining and find out how he fits in to make them better. Maybe they are better without him.

Jerry Sloan would be the perfect coach for us. Tonight Jazz were dwon and they came back and shot 54% ... After Tonight i think Boozer's season FG% is going to be like 60%

Down 22 in the 3rd and freaking came back and won by 9, in Arco Arena???? And they did that after back to back 16 points 4th quarter comes backs against Pheonix and Toronto????

WTF is this??? Rediculous!!!! If they keep doing this, I will stop watching the NBA!!!

Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer look better than young Malone and Stockton. And their other players are putting the Ostertags and Horneceks to shame.

And the craziest part of this is... they are all freaking young. Their starting line's average age is 22.

WTF IS THIS???? Rafer and JHo for Deron and Boozer. Anyone's for it?

Boozer and Okur compliment each other well. Inside out!

Right now, they are the best frontcourt duo in the league!

i was checking out the scores online and saw the jazz down by 10 to the kings so i decided to watch the last part of the 4th quarter. i was expecting to see the jazz lose their second game of the year only to be disappointed. a few things:

carlos boozer - the guy i remember was a rebounder / putback type of power forward that did the dirty work for the cavs and was able to scam a big contract out of the jazz only to sit on the bench for most of last season. so who the hell is this guy putting up monster performances against teams on a daily basis? he looks fantastic in the post and has a great midrange jumper thats money if he's open. he actually looks like he deserves $11.6 million / year

okur - a great example of why we need a big with shooting range

artest - why do the kings allow him to jack up all those shots? i don't understand why he's shooting when you have martin and bibby out there on the court. he's the reason the kings lost tonight

i still have my doubts and concerns about jazz being an elite..

they don't have a legit go to guy, it seems every elite team needs a superstar...

granted, boozer's been playin spetacular, his numbers speak for itself.. but i don't think he's quite made the jump from being a good player to a great player like yao has :D

they are not a good defensive team like the suns, but of course suns is defintiely a legit championship contender...

anyway, i wouldn't be surprised if all of sudden they lose 5 or 6 games in a roll and lose their momentum a lil bit...

but sloan is a good coach that will get them back on track asap. unless major injuries happen.

I have been pretty disgusted by how well Carlos Boozer is playing in the post. He has great touch around the rim, and has very long arms and can finish with both hands. He doesn't use his length on defense (AK 47 and this new kid Paul Milsap do that for him). He uses his length on offense. His body is so wide, and with his quickness downlow, he can just throw his body around and stretch his long arms out for layups. He also posesesses great instinct to get into positions. When Deron Williams feeds him the ball with surgical precision, he just finishes.

I had no idea Boozer was this talented on offense. I, just like you, thought he was this blue-colar dirty work put back type of player. Now I know why Utah is winning.

Also, Deron Williams will be the best point guard in the league. I didin't think he would be this good when he came out of college. And I thought Utah was dumb to take him over Chris Paul. However, this season, at his age, the way he runs his team amazes me. He is always cool, always in control and always confident. He's not flashy, but he's as effective as it gets. His bulky frame makes him look slow. However, on the court, he's anything but slow.

At this point, Williams is on the same level with Steve Nash and Chris Paul. However, Nash is getting older and will probably decline due to age and back injury issues. Paul is very very good at this young age. However, his team doesn't have nearly as much talent as the Jazz. Paul's game utilizes more natural talent and instinct. He puts up similar or better numbers, but I don't think he runs the team as well as Williams does.

As a Rockets fan, I am very worried about the Jazz. We have two superstars in Yao and Tmac, but I believe the Jazz has guys of equal or not too inferior caliber in Williams, Boozer and AK 47. Their core is even younger than ours. Their supporting cast of Okur, Brewer, Milsap and Fisher is much better than our supporting cast of Alston, Battier and Hayes. However, I do think VSpan is a wild card for us. If he can provide us with a spark like Ginobli is doing to the Spurs, it would be a gigantic.

Overall, for the Jazz, Deron Williams is the key. He goes, the Jazz goes. He gets shut down (which hasnt't happened so far), the Jazz gets shut down. If these two teams meet in the playoffs, Deron Williams has to be contained at all cost. Otherwise, he has the ability to bring the painful memory of John Stockton to all the Rockets fans.
