The thing I’m most annoyed about from this game is that it was a chance to run up a huge lead against a bad team so we can give the backup quarterback, some real reps. he’s been impressive this year, but the sample size is just way too low to make any definitive conclusions. my guess is we only see him if we’re getting blown out against Vandy, Georgia or God forbid Mississippi State. All I care about is finding the best quarterback for the Aggie game. I don’t care if we lose every other game this year as long as we win that one.
Has there ever been this disappointing of a starting quarterback considering his hype and pedigree, and his current abilities. I just don't understand how he can't even hit a wide open receiver.
On the plus side, he and the young OL are getting a "trial by fire" this year and should be much better next season. Unless yall are still worried about Arch leaving early and being the #1 pick in the draft?
Garrett Gilbert. He didn’t have the legacy name recognition, but he had a huge reputation in central Texas since he put up such impressive numbers in high school and 2 4A championships. We went all in on him and it was just a big bust.
I watched some of Ewers's snaps since he was getting garbage time. Other than the long throw that was a prayer and good catch by the WR, he did not impress much. But the line failed him as he was getting pressured on every snap. Hard to really evaluate him from that.
