Chris Mihm nailed 4 of 6 3 pointers last night. Mo Evans signed with Minnesota for an undisclosed amount.

Owens, Ford, Mouton, Thomas are easily starters next year. Who do you think will be the fifth starter? I am hoping for a backcourt of Williams and Ford.

I think Boddicker has a good chance of getting a lot of min. He played pretty well last year. If Only Evans wouldn't have been an idiot and stayed in school. He woulda been first rounder easy next and UT would have had a shot at a NCAA title in Footballn basketball, and maybe even baseball.

I've heard Mo had problems with Barnes. I forgot about Boddicker. Would you go with a frontline of Owens, Boddicker, and Thomas?

I think a front line of Boddicker, Thomas, and Owens would create havoc against small teams. However, against faster and ahtletic teams like Duke or UCLA, Boddicker prolly shouldn't get as much time.

I heard we're getting a transfer by the name of Deginald Erskin(I don't know), who's coming from North Texas who's supposed to be reminescent of Nolan Johnson(whom I hate, but would love someone who plays like him on the Horns). I wouldn't be suprised to see him get some serious time.

now why do you have to suggest starting someone who saw no/ little playing time last year? Is it because he went to your school?Ewww! [IMG]

All I can say is that the 1 time Klotz played against Boddicker when it mattered most, Klotz made Boddicker his b****. I mean, it was bad!!! Boddcker looked like a scrub out there while Klotz seemed like a McDonald's All-American. [IMG]

Arizona 11/17. I'm definitely going. Hopefully, I can get some info on how the players are doing in practice. I hope Barnes relaxes a bit. He makes the players nervous and is a little too restrictive on defense.

Hopefully, Owens will be the featured threat on offense. He can play inside. He can play outside (16 feet). He'll be a top shotblocker if not the leader in the nation.

Chris Owens Naismith canidate. Go Owens

I'm curious, how much are tickets to the games and what decent teams does UT play?

This is a really unusual report.

    http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkc/men/1105980

    TEXAS

Most of the focus is on incoming point guard T.J. Ford, but coach Rick Barnes had an interesting report on 6-6 freshman forward Sydmill Harris, a native of the Netherlands. Harris can shoot the lights out, says Barnes, but his grasp of the game is not there. "The other day he knocked about a dozen balls out of the cylinder, and I asked him if he knew he couldn't do that," Barnes said. "He said, `At home, you can do that.' I told him you can't do that here. He said, `Crazy American rules.' " Barnes said he has told Harris to catch the ball and shoot it. "The one thing the kid can do is shoot the ball," Barnes said. "Once he learns not to travel, he might be something." ... With a year of experience, sophomores Brian Boddicker, Brandon Mouton and James Thomas are being counted on to give depth up front. "I would hope our roles increase," Boddicker said. "We're not freshmen anymore. ... Barnes said the Longhorns will play more of an up-tempo game, with Ford and Fredie Williams pushing the ball. "We're looking to run, looking to push it," Barnes said. "But we still know we have to execute in the half court."
