    Assistant to the Crack w****.
    Telemarketers
& wait staff at buffets- we COULD get our own tea refills, since we're up getting our own food anyway, but then there would absolutely no reason to tip.

After owning a bar for 7 years I can honestly say they do come in handy. People turn into pigs when they drink and these guys actually kept the bathrooms clean. Actually would be surprised to know that the women turned out to be the worst when it came to the bathroom.

They also deter idiots from punching walls and breaking things which apparently drunk people do as well.

As far as tipping goes when we had them they only really looked for a tip if you got a piece of gum, cologne, or anything like that. Not for the paper towel part.

In regards to the people who check the receipts at Costco. I would say the same thing if not for the fact that they have caught my bill being overcharged and got me a refund. 2 times I had been charged for more bottled water than I had got and I just didn't pay attention but they caught it.

 If I'm going to put dangerous chemicals into my body, I want someone with a lot of special training to make sure it's not going to kill me.

Useless job: insurance agents. It seems like I get referred to corporate for everything anyway, and the guy's secretary won't ever let me talk to him.

I would go with travel agents. They used to be useful before the internet age. My parents still use travel agents to book international travel though. SMH.

A useless job would be one that allows the worker to post on cf.net and surf the internet while still getting paid.

Yeah, I used to work at Coscto (they top out at $21/hr, not too bad.) And sometims I'd be the "receipt checker" and I'll tel you there have been times I've saved someone 100 bucks from being overcharged.

I really don't know why it worked, but all I did was exchange computers from an empty office. For some reason the filter wasn't on either of them when I switched them.
