Perhaps in your experiences. If you live in an apartment, UPS is terrible. They never actually knock on your door and instead opt to leave it at the leasing office. If they don't do that, they leave it at your neighbors. This has all happened while I have been home!

On the other hand, I have never had an sort of problems with FedEx, so I feel like that's the way to go for important packages.

if UPS had to reschedule a delivery for every time i wasn't home, the stuff would never get to me. they always leave it my door. i could understand not wanting to leave it at the neighbors, because they can be shady.

Both UPS and FedEx leave packages on my porch if I'm not home unless the shipper has specifically requested a signature, in which case they try again the next day or I can call them to pick it up at a Fed Ex/UPS hub or have them deliver it on another date. I think you can reschedule the delivery online with FedEx, but not sure about UPS.

Yea UPS sucks. I had my SSD drive to be delivered today. I have been looking forward to it. I was home since 4:45 and then i check the status online and it said that they had attempted to deliver at 5:16. I was in my living room and I heard no knock, no truck.

Worse I call and ask if it is procedure to not leave a note or notice and they said it was. There was no note or anything. They said that they will try to swing by on monday. Yea mondays great specially since I paid 2-day shipping.

There is a south and a north of my street name with the train tracks in the way. Im betting they got the wrong house.

Now i have to wait for them to call me so that I can go pick it up and miss the rockets tip-off. Waste more money on gas. F*** UPS!!!!! You ruined my friday night.

Like someone else mentioned, it comes down to the individual employee, just like it does in any other business. Ive had problems with FedEx, UPS, and USPS...but i've also had great service at times. You can try to control it by taking pre-cautions, but really it's out of your hands.

The best advice I can give you is to track the package every time and keep track of the days/times and what happened or didn't happen. I had an issue with USPS "lying" about whether they made an attempt to deliver or not on 3 consecutive days. I complained and the complaint went to my regular mailwoman. Unfortunately, they had another carrier also helping out and he was the real problem. Luckily, the mailwoman was a good enough employee to come talk to me and explain things. She told me she'd check it out and to report any future problems to her personally. Haven't really had a problem since.
