So why do so many of us take the time to argue with someone who is so obviously biased and so obviously misinformed that his entire signature is a lie that does nothing but show his misguided disdain for our President? He has so much hate for President Bush that he resorts to lying in an effort to make the President look bad. Why should anyone care what he thinks. I also can't believe we bother to fight his ignorance and bias (and lies) with truth. If he is so willing to lie in order to advance his goals, why should we be so bound to the truth? And since he is quite obviously willing to lie, why should we assume that anything he says is ever the truth? You can't argue with someone so blinded by bias. You can't reason with someone so willing to abandon reason. There's no point in arguing with this person. Just like one cannot defeat terrorists through traditional warfare, one cannot defeat the arguments of a biased liar by sticking to reason or relying on truth. Liars don't care about the truth. People with biases don't care about reason. No argument can be "won" (to the point that this poster will ever admit defeat) because even in defeat, this poster will claim victory (we've established this person has no respect for truth). So why not just leave it alone and let the biased liar die a quiet death. Don't feed the monster by giving it what it wants. Let the liar be.
Besides, he's probably just parroting something he read on Moby.com anyway without regard to whether it's the truth or not (just like his signature and several other things he's posted on this board).

kirkit, just because we don't know the facts, doesn't mean that there aren't any. Would the government so vehemently target him if he weren't behind this? I think the government has the facts, but since releasing the facts could compromise our position, they have wisely decided to not tell us everything.

You should feel better that you aren't spreading misinformation despite being shown that it is false anymore (except that you didn't change the signature, you just turned it off for the post. So it still exists in all previous posts. You should go change the signature to take out the offending quote so it isn't still all over the site in your previous posts).
And also, why is someone so worried about being offended not worried about offending others? Isn't communication a two-way street? Why do you expect people to act civilized to you and treat you in an honest and forthright manner when you insisted on not treating others that way. If my signature said something that offended you that wasn't true, you'd be over me to change it, why did you not think that it was important to live by those rules yourself? Why do you expect more out of others than we can expect from you? Two-way street.
