No problem, Pugs. The stats come courtesy of Zach Levine from the Chron. Roy will break the record if he finishes the next inning without giving up a run. Record for most consecutive shutout innings by an Astros pitcher: Richard 31 Oswalt 30 1/3 (active) Wilson 29 Kyle 28 2/3 Dave Smith 27 2/3 Niekro 27 1/3 Sambito 26 2/3 Ryan 26 1/3 Dave Roberts 26
How jacked up would it be if Lidge blows his 1st game of the season tonight, assuming the lead stays at 3 or less? It'll be almost as if he's pitching for us, too.

If Roy didn't give up a hit there, he would have been an inning away from being the first pitcher in 20 years to throw back-to-back one-hitters.
Oswalt also has a shot to become the 2nd Astros pitcher ever to face the minimum. Bob Knepper did it in 1988.
RoyO Faces the minimum. 2nd consecutive complete game shutout (and he went 8 1/3 of scoreless ball in the start before that. Man has got his mojo working.
I have to believe there is a good chance that Roy O is the first ever to pitch a CG shutout, facing the minimum while leading his team in RBI.
Add this to Roy's list of achievements tonight: Oswalt is the only pitcher in baseball in 2008 to throw consecutive shutouts.
Sometimes life can be too perfect...just as Roy Oswalt clinched the game by inducing the double play, Muddy Waters' "Got My Mojo Working" came on my Ipod. Awesome! Incidentally, I hope Ike isn't too much of a b*stard for my Houston people. Take care everybody.
