    ...

This comeback this season feels even more "destiny" driven than any of the past 2 or 3, simply because we really don't have the talent on this team to sustain a streak like we are doing right now...and yet we are doing it.

You can also hear him saying, "I could give a rat's ass about that, too!"

Saturday's game now postponed as well.

Actually, I think this is a very good thing. The injuries are really, really starting to pile up -- Wigginton, Wandy, Backe, etc. I know we've won lately in spite of that, but over the rest of the season, we need those guys to play in as many games as they can. Off days can't hurt with a group as hurt as these guys.

Not quite... he only went 8.1 innings against the Cubs. But an incredible streak nonetheless.

He actually only has 1 straight complete game shut outs. He was relieved in the 9th 2 games ago.

I agree.....and considering we had Arias and Cassel starting those 2 games, I'm not too upset about pushing these back a few days. Both the Cubs and the Astros have off Monday so it's likely one game will be played then, with maybe a doubleheader.

Coop's gotta be thinking about bringing Roy back after his game tonight for the game(s) on Monday. It would be on three days rest but it's a possibility. Unless these extra days off get Wandy and/or Brandon ready to take the hill, which would be huge for an already thin pitching staff.

The Cubs and Astros have Monday off so it's reasonable to expect at least one game to be played that day.

However, if for some reason or another it gets bumped into the "if necessary" category, that could benefit the Astros in at least a couple of ways:

    1. Heal the injuries: Wigginton, Matsui, Wandy, Backe, Lee?
    2. The Cubs may have clinched by the last week so if we had to make up the games at that point, they may rest their big guns.

Note: I was just watching the ESPNews ticker and it said the teams are exploring all possible solutions, including playing the games in another city.
