You all know who I'm talking 'bout. I simply don't believe that he can't contribute anything. He's a huge body, shooting machine, and even if he gets into foul trouble, I have no doubts they'll be pretty physical fouls. He adds a toughness to the perimeter that we lack (hi Ariza!) and can spread the floor pretty well. I don't understand why he gets no minutes at all, especially with the money we've invested in him. He is raw for sure and I don't think his basketball IQ has gotten much better, but he's been generally good attitude about the whole bench thing and I genuinely feel that he deserves a few games or two in the lineup just to see how our dynamic changes, particularly with the way we've been playing now.
Why Dorsey screwed around and didn't get into the game? No idea but it was obvious enough that both Clyde and Bill talked about it. Bill is the one that said Adelman called the timeout so he could get Dorsey in the game (because he was too slow to get in at the dead ball) and that Rick was not happy about it.
From what I heard on the radio after that game, Dorsey did not believe his name was being called (last year Rafer pulled that trick). Then Adelman had to call his name again. Dorsey got up without taking his warm ups off and thus did not get to the scorers table in time. It wasn't like he didn't want to play, he just couldn't believe that Adelman was actually letting him in the game. You can tell by his interview after the game that he is very appreciative of the coaches for giving him some playing time.
