Definitely need to rework our uniforms. The Yao era is over. We need a change to reflect the new age. Bring back the red and yellow as the primary & secondary colors. I really like what the Jazz did with theirs, in the sense its a modern retake on their classic uniforms. If we could mix and modernize our 70s uniforms with our championship uniforms, I think it'd be killer. As well as a yellow alternate for home & away.
Maybe I just have poor fashion sense, but I don't really see much wrong with our current jerseys. Can someone elaborate as to why they're so bad?
The cut of the jersey seems unpopular with the players. The font is just terrible from a designer's standpoint. It's way too skinny. The orbit rings around the arms are ugly and a fad. Not exactly a timeless look. It looks futuristic, but that doesn't mean that is the best image for a Rocket. The alternate has a better cut and says Houston on the front. It also incorporates the MUCH needed accent secondary color. The hideous, ineffective font is still there though. Again, it's too skinny to see clearly from afar. Alternate is much better because there is some sort of recognizable identity with the yellow. But the Rockets need to do way better.
I prefer the alternate jersey but I think the design somehow reminds too much of Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania..

I don't think the current uniforms are terrible, but i do agree it's time for a change. The alternates are super generic and seem like they were just put together to appease the ketchup and mustard crowd. I think we need to just do a modernization of the dream era uniforms, with emphasis on red and white with yellow accents. Too much red and yellow without enough white starts looking like mcdonalds. And i think this should be the intro song <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/M-2_qYWkjIE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
They did what many clamor for us to do; reimagine the classic uniforms with a modern touch, Would doing so damn the Rockets? Since Utah and golden state did it first?
I like the away red & yellow unis. Just swap the colors and add some white color in there and you have home unis. I will post a sample of that later, but it seems like the cut of the unis that dream2franchise (aka Castle) looked spiffy but need some color enhancements.
Sorry, the OG jerseys aren't returning. Everything must have a euro metro-sexual v neck flared shoulders ultra lightweight form fitting value engineered mesh look so Stern can appeal to the worldwide game. The only uni change we are going to be getting to our unis are sponsor logos. Thanks Cuban.
He's saying that you shouldn't use Utah as an example because we hate them and nothing good ever comes out of Utah.
Sorry to bump, but I'm one of the 60% who didn't get to watch the Rox until the playoffs. Just gotta say, I LOVE those uniforms last night. Really dug the Beverly look with the mustard/red uni's and the yellow shoes. Please keep and trash the plain white and red.
